Finally got a LATHE!!!!

General Talk

I look forward to seeing your new creations! I sew. I use a sewing machine and I finally got a serger. I consider my work hand made even though I use a machine. A lathe is a tool just like a sewing machine. You are still creating by hand. Unless you plan on opening a factory where every piece is identical....I don't thunk you need to worry about it!

BEADS & DREAD DECORATIONS

General Questions

I would like to see a photo of what you think is splitting. I often have baby dreads form that the hair will go into strange shapes as it is starting to knot up. Sometimes it looks like it is spreading out but then it forms a crazy ball. The dread changes shape a whole lot during the process.

Introduce Yourself

They may still loop up. 4 months is still at the baby stage...they have not even gotten to the crazy teen stage yet.

Stretched Piercings

General Questions

I have bought things off of ebay but ETSY is where I shop! You can find wonderful things from artists all over the world. I found my hair pin on there. I am sure you can find gauges that you would love on there too !!

Very mature dreads that always thin at the ends.

Dread Maintenance

What type of hair do you have? Is it African American or Caucasian? It makes a big difference. African hair needs moisture. or it will get brittle and break off. Jojoba oil is wonderful to use.

I bet you end up with a head full and not just 3. Dreads are addictive.
