so basically i've posted for help here on my dandruff issue, and well basically, i still have dandruff.
i dont know whats wrong with my scalp. my mom is really discouraging me and telling me there is no natural way of getting rid of my dandruff. the only way is nizoral and head and shoulders.
my dad has a dandruff problem too. instead of him trying to find a real solution though, he just uses head and shoulders every day.
before i got my dreads i had dandruff too. i dont want to think that I am just destined for a life of embarassing white flakes =/ it's so lame and makes styling my hair difficult. also it does get itchy. especially like around my hairline, which looks like dry skin but im not sure if its really dry, cos i think its still oily, but I JUST WANT A BEAUTIFUL SCALP
i tried tea tee oil, rosemary and mint soaps and that hasnt worked. so the thing is i've had to order these soaps online because idk where else to get em lol. and now my mom is getting annoyed lmao. someone here suggested to me coconut oil but i havent gotten it yet n my mom doesnt really want me to get it, she is just telling me that nothing natural is going to help me /:
right now i use mint and rosemary soap and acd, please dont suggest baking soda i am not even going to go anywhere near that stuff till my dandruff goes away, then maybe ill consider it cos i dont watn to kinx it !!!!!!!
please dont tell me what my mom said to me!!!!! unless its true x thanks :p

You shouldn't let it bother you, theres a lot of prejudice in the world and that's what that article was. i'm egyptian and i know that the ancient egyptians styled their hair like dreads or had dread-like wigs so it's not like I am stealing anyones culture! besides! cultures are really interesting things and humans should embrace one anothers cultures and we shouldnt use it as a basis to seperate us thats my thought 
:P

hey everyone. well its definetly a lot better then before, i've been using tee tree oil soap bar and acv, thats about it cos i cudnt find any of th eother stuff. im about to get some lavenderr and mint soap, and ill try to get some coconut oil stuff and hopefully my dandruff will be long gone :P

ill start up BS in a couple weeks or so when my head is cleared...i used apple cider viniger and tee tree oil today and it SEEMS as though its helped. its not all gone but i think it looks a lot better than before - and its definetly not itchy!

okay, so it doesn't seem to be dandruff because my hair isn't oily. it must be the bs plus dead skin i'd get anyway...... so im wondering, do you alll have this white stuff in your hair? is there just not much to do about it, just try to keep it to a minimal?

thanks everyone... i will try and find some rosemary to use in my hair, but what's avc stand for???panterra, i like your idea of spot treating dandruff! i never thought of that before. i live in canada and it's suddenly gotten a lot colder, so that could be causing my dandruff to get worse, i wash my hair 2-3 times a week which is how i've been washing it sense before dreads (although i've constantly had to fight my dandruff, everyone on my dads side has a dandruff problem... ;c )

my dandruff is horrible right now :sits like just a dusting of white dandruff all over my scalp. and sometimes i cant stop scratching it, like i did it constantly when it was wet and i woke up half asleep and just scratched my hair for a while :si use baking soda in my hair in the shower and tee tree oil...thats iti mean is there nothing i can do to at least manage the dandruff? i feel like my dandruff must be dreading into my hair, which is kind of gross :s

thanks guys, i used baking soda last night and it wasn't bad :Pwhat about beads... you think i can put em on??
