Show your husband some of the beautiful natural locks on this site and you could turn him right around. There are so many lovelies on here! You must be true to yourself....it could be part of your work to open people's minds about dreads where you live. Usually when people think dreads are gross it's because they do not have accurate info about them or have only seen nasty waxy ones.
As far as your daughter goes I feel that seeing her mother stay true to what she wants in her life is a beautiful example.....sure you may have some uncomfortable comments come up from people who don't know better, but none of that matters.....be yourself...educate your family on natural locks and enjoy:)

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health
I teach and practice Bikram yoga so I sweat a lot every day. I wash about twice a week, sometimes more...I know that sweat gets in my locks....it has not hindered them fromlocking.

Your locks are beautiful! It is unfortunate that so many people have a warped idea on what beauty is. Chemical filled processed and abused hair is deemed beautiful and glamorous? Not to me. Nature does not make mistakes! Enjoy your locks lovely lady....forget those that cannot see how gorgeous they are:)

Dr. Bronners I love you! I also feel like my locks are nice and tight and clean afterr a wash. I sometimes dilute, sometimes not and when I don't I like the way my locks feel even better. I just rinse really well. I always use peppermint...has anyone tried the eucalyptys one on their locks? Good?:)
