As far as the lint that's outside the body of the dreadlock I use tweezers, so helpful. I am thinking about buying the charcoal deep cleanse pretty soon though.

Yet another one last night: I was separating them when I noticed one dread had actually like fell off my scalp, and the surrounding dreads were already trying to congo with it. I was freaked out and immediately put it in my pocket before anyone noticed. The problem at the time for me was trying to figure out the bald spot on my head where the dread broke off of haha Oh man

One morning my brother got a pair of clippers and put it against my head pretending to shave my dreads off. He used the opposite side, w/out the sharp teeth things. This was no dream though he actually did it. I remember waking up gasping for air.

One dream I was taking a shower and washing the dreads only to immediately go to bed afterwards. I woke up in real life convinced that my dreads were wet. How relieved I was when it wasn't haha

Funny how dreams like these are common between us!

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I was about to post the same question. I know dry hair is good for starting out, but by this point I don't consider being part in the early stage (28 months in), that being said I haven't once conditioned other than doing the bs/acv since the start, only to switch to the dreadlockshampoo bars this past July. 

 Twice a month I use the Rot Knot liquid (I keep getting sebum buildup) and that stuff REALLY dries my dreads after I use it, or at least it feels like it. 

So a few questions: Has anyone tried the conditioning oils from Dollylocks?  Or is that store like any other trying to sell you the 'perfect dreadlocks' pitch? 

 Also, now that winter is coming should I care for them differently? Cause I'm thinking they could be more vulnerable to cold weather, you know getting more dry.

For me that habit has only gotten worse. Well, not that I finger brush them, but I'm either separating or unconsciously messing around with them :P

Seems like you have a head start already, as mentioned, just continue to wash and separate and that's basically it. Separating can get a bit of chore but really helpful if you don't want congos.

I don't know anyone with dreadlocks either but this community has helped me tremendously so you'll find a lot of help here.

I do it all the time, but as many that I see that are good, I also see those where their scalp (or sectioning) looks like a soccer ball. I have to repeat to myself 'to each his/her own' over and over again I guess some just think that's the ONLY way. After seeing those types of videos, I feel even more glad I followed the natural method
