Survive with dreads in 49 Degree Heat.. (120.2 degrees F for the other kinds)

General Talk

Hey guys,

My dreads are about my waist length now. My hair has always been thick thanks to my indian genetics so I got like 60 med to fat dreads.. Thing is..M an indie filmmaker and I have been shooting outdoors lately..and next shoot will start in june mid where the temp are not going to go down...It is getting so hot that I really felt like it was impeding my ability to creatively think on the set... I drench my dreads in water and within 15 mins its cmpletely dry..

Any suggestions to beat the heat? Or should I be lobbing some inches off? I really don't wanna do that.. :(

Slowing down of progress

General Questions

I see major changes in your dreads.. It is sorta getting into the pre-maturity state and there is ONLY progress from this point on to look forward to...

i love my dreads but they are uneven!

General Talk

I started with layered hair as well..as almost 3 yrs later..my dreads in the back are longer than in front..but then I LOVE IT!

Tying them till they r little longer as evelyn suggested seems like the way to go...

and also I understand there r many methods to dreads and to each his own..but my advice wud be to lay off root rubbing n tip locking n crotch rubbing.... well maybe not the last one.. :)

MY DREADS JUST WON'T DREAD!

General Questions

roll the loose hair between your thumb and middle finger till they become this knotted wad..and then stick it into the roots of nearby dreads... maybe a bead over it.... :)
