Scary New Dreads ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED (Short)

General Questions

Just sit back and forget you got hair for a few months. Sleep on something rough, and wear hats a lot. Get some friction going and that may help. But dont freak out, I am sure your hair will do fine even though its shorter. Hang in there! And watch those rubber bands bro!

Question about dying dreads

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Melanie your awesome! I will definitly take your all's advice and seek out a professional or at least a layperson who knows what they are doing. I may not try to do this myself, cause I dont want to lose a dread ya know? I had some of my dreads bleached out when I first started locking, but that bleached part now consists of about 2 inches of dread at the very ends. They shrank up so bad and so much thats all I got left! LOLThanks so much guys you are all a wealth of info and so kind!

Question about dying dreads

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I was thinking about bleaching out or dying some of my dreads...now the problem is..HOW do I do that??I have dyed my hair before but that was pre-dreadlocks. So the big question is, do I try to squeeze the dye/bleach thru each dread, or is it good enough to let the liquid/paste sit on the dread? My dreads are locked up tight, and they are fairly stiff. I have been wanting some of them to be various colors for a long time...just for something different. May not do the dye anytime soon, just want to be prepared for when I get the time and money. Thanks to any input you guys may have!

residue free dreadlocks shampoo bar all natural vegan biodegradable review

Dread Products

Awww! You guys are sooo incredibly sweet! I am so flattered! I have been in the middle of moving (for something like 4 months but its almost over YAY!) And i havent had time to check in here so thats why I am late replying. But yeah I throw samples in every order! Usually for laundry detergent it will be a scent to "go along" with the shampoo bars you order, and if I have a sample of shampoo I throw that in too. I wholeheartedly believe in free gifts, and loving my fellow humans. Thanks so much guys for all the love! I hope to be here a lot more after I finally get moved in my new place in the country! (((HUGZ)))So happy you guys love the shampoo! It means SO much to me!

Loose Hair...

Dread Maintenance

This may already be something that has been addressed before so sorry if this is rehashing on info for you guys. I dont get much computer time lately..anyhoo! I was wondering what you guys do for all the loose hair that never locked up into a dread??I have loose hair around my face, and also in the top of my head. I have some around the back on my neck but I spotted a new dread forming from some of it the other day. All the loose stuff on top isnt dreading though...so....I am wondering if I should DO something with it, or just leave it to its own devices??

Wolf your so right on! Ya gots to have patience when it comes to dreads. I learned that right off. Its best to just put your hair out of your mind for a few months and let nature take its course. Watch the beauty unfold!

loops lumps kinks and zig zags in dreadlocks

Dread Maintenance

I have this one dread in the back of my head that to me looks like an ivy vine. It has little loops coming off of it like "leaves" and its long and skinny. Its my favorite dread! I wish all of them were so cool! My other dreads have knots and bumps...I have one thats crooked. Some are fat some are thin, I love them cause they are a reflection of *me* (smiles) I wouldnt trade my locks for anything in the world cause to me they are perfect.
