Well since yours are only a couple of weeks I would use a small amount. The baking soda ranges from 2 tablespoons to 1/3rd cup with the members on here. So I would start small and see what it does. Then bump it up if you feel like it's not cleaning. It's also the same with the water. It also ranges from 2 cups to a gallon. So same process with that. It's more of a preference really. If you are using tea tree I would only use a couple of drops. I do about 3-5. I heard from alot of the members that using alot of drops can actually dry out your scalp. And for the ACV. It is also the same. Some use a splash and others do about 1/4th cup so just find a happy medium between them all. I am sure you will find a good balance

Thats a good one. Thats more of what the wise man one is about and what I was trying to get at. It's like all those people who don't have dreads and know nothing about them and they see you have them and they come up to you and tell you how you should do them and stuff then you just look at them and smile Spider Feet said:

Thats really good. It reminds me of a quote in the Tao Te Ching. I don't know it word for word but it's something like this. "A wise man does not speak, an unwise man speaks". A wise man does not need to speak to be wise learning his knowledge through his actions and life experiences. An unwise man speaks pretending to know knowledge as he has yet to learn from his actions and life experiences. In this particular case i don't think he is referring to THE Way as in "Dao" because of the context of the quote... but that is how i first interpreted it as well.
This is more in the context of Zhuangzi, too.. not Laozi (i totally recommend reading Zhuangzi if you haven't. Very interesting stuff.
I may post my paper on here once i have finished it. I was mostly just looking for interesting discussion, not necessarily answers

"A way is made by walking it" I think he is referring to way as The Way. To understand The Way you must walk it or live by it. The Way was created by Mother. Mother is the creator of everything. Also it could mean we choose are own path. We are guided by our choices down a path making it our way. Or as simple as a way is created just by walking. Like you making a way in the forest by walking off the trail. Anyways heres some thoughts for you. Like I have said I haven't been studying it for a long time so I might not be very helpful.

Don't know if I can help but I have studied taoism through kung fu training. I had to read Lau Tse interpretations on the Tao Te Ching or The Way. It is a very interesting philosophy. But no way you can truely live the life of a taoist in this time and age. You are right it is practiced through non action but also being neutral. You can't be too passive but you can't be too interfering or aggressive. If I am not making any sense it's because I have not studied this for a long time.
