Help! Save My Dreads

the one thing se didn't mention is. IT HURTS!!! i got lice in my hair and i used the rubbing alcohol. and its hurt like no other. ever got a tattoo? its worse than that. my head was all scabbed up and gross and taken a long time to heal. hope he does well and gets rid of them. and doesn't cut them off like i had to. good luck.

a dread tam. best thing ever. buy them on here or etsy. i've found some head bands with rubber on them so they stick really well. the sleeve of a shirt. i tie dyed some large hankercheifs and that was real cool. just about anything you can think of to pull your hair back will work.

Jail. Lice. Cutting Dreads

So i just got out of a little stint in the slammer. it was only a few months so it wasn't that bad. but on the last few weeks there i got lice. and it sucked it sucked really bad. so they got rid of them and all was fine. then i get out and a week later BAM they are back. today i will be cutting my hair. this is the third time i've had them. i've done the alcohol thing and its worked i just don't think i washed everything in my house well enough. maybe some eggs laid dormant inside a dread from having them so many times. i dunno. but today i will be dreadless. now when i cut them i'm going to leave a few inches of dread to try and comb out. i think if i buzz my head then you will be able to see the horrible condition of my scalp. which is covered in scabs from scratching it like crazy. i will be growing them back immediately following the cutting. just with shorter hair and the right way this time. not crochet. no back comb. all natural baby. all natural.

don't be so one sided s.e. some people. myself included likes dreads to be neater. normally i don't care work or social situations don't matter. but a wedding, funeral, or court are times its good to look very nice and have your hair not look like you have a small nest on the top of yer head when you put yer hair in a pony tail. and i'm not the only one to notice. i know for a FACT other people notice. and i'm sure it happens to other people with dreads. my point is some people like them neater. shit i do. so use the aloe. do a little palm roll. and tie them back. shit after they are tied back i still put a little aloe on the top of my head. it works well. not always for a day or 2. but for a few hours at a wedding. or court.eRic

most of what i crochet is loose weave. how many feet would it need to be? 6 or 7 feet? yer dreads are super long.

ok so i know they make such a thing. just a hat made out of wool or some fabric thats long and in the shape of a tube so you can wrap it around you like a scarf. but what about one you could put yer dreads in and then wrap around you like a scarf? hand made. crocheted by yours truely. if anyone thinks this is a good idea and wants one. let me know some colors. and i will make you a sweet tube hat for the winter months coming up. these are all ideas for a business i would like to start with a friend of mine who sells body jewelry. any feedback will be greatly appreciated.eRic

LICE!!! HELP!!!

holy crap that burns. i only had 50% in the house so thats what i used. i read about pepper mint on some home remedy website. the alcohol is now soaking. some of the burning is going away. now its just tingling. i used to use the baking soda and acv rinse. but it made my skin break out so i started using dr b's. i got the peppermint just cause i like the smell. i guess i'll get tea tree next time. if i get rid of these lice that is. thanks s.e. i will start making you a tam for all your advice youve given me over the past year or so.
