Life Issues Facing Dreads
Hey, sounds a bit grim, but when ur on drugs you dont really want to listen to anyone as u yourself feel you dont have a problem, i did alot of drugs between the age of 13 and 18 and completly messed my head up with them, my aunt was worried about me and always shouted and tried sending me to rehab but nothing worked with me, i eventually learnt myself that i was damaging my health and decided to quit for myself, im not sure if crowding him and telling him what he should do will do any good, when i was on drugs i didnt care about other peoples feelings and views,, and when people gave me any advice i would purposly ignore it,I wish you luck, i have lost alot of close friends due to drug abuse and its not worth the risk, i hope he'll realise that he is better than that, so long as you stay close to him and know you are there if he needs you and hopefully he will grow out of the drug problem.

i had a lot of shit in school, but after time people get used to you, just gotta learn to ignor everyone who's being a prick and they will soon find someone else to pick on, bullys are horrible and should be picked off the earth, but it happens all the time, so seriously just do whatever u want, dont care about what other people think of you, so long as ur happy with urself thats really all that matters, u will realise who your real friends are by doing this and if people dis you because u have dreadlocks then they are just useless wastes of spaces with nothing better to keep their mind occupied than to pick on the minority. get them lady =)

Hello, im just curious, im guessing the majority of you love to travel along with myself, im from the uk and looking for cheap places to see and visit and of any great places u would recommend, i love to work festivals also so any information on this would be muchly appreciated.I look forward to hearing your tales =)

most of my family hate my hair, but as people said its down to the individual, u cant expect people to understand your reasons of knotting, but its a personal choice, if your still really unhappy about them then the option of cutting them off is always there, not that i would advise it as i thnk dreads look beautiful on anybody. but so long as your the person u have always been people will still love and respect you. iv also had the 'so when u getting rid of them' chat for about 6 years now, and it is so old. but i always answer with a never :P just pisses them off that little bit more, people dont have a right in telling you what you can and cant do, though i have had troubles with jobs, they way i think of it is if u cant get a job with them then that company aint worth working with. id rather a job where i can be myself in rather than shaving my hair to conform. i hope u cheer up sunshine =)

ha gigs are always good for knocking people about, not that i mean to but it can be fun :P i love it when i go on buses and acidently hit some old person with them when i get up, they always give me stinking looks like i just did something bad :P my friends have also used them aganst me too, its not far whipping me with my own dreads :P

Okay, i got my dreads going about 5 years ago, got them at the end of jan 2005, i got them for various reasons the main one because i love the way they look..I started them by going to glastonbury town and paying some woman 100 quid, big regret she didnt do the tightly at all and she used home made beeswax which completly messed them up and made me sticky.. if i could go bak i would deffinutly not use wax, even thought its so easy to use it so they look tidy, but the natural way is so much cleaner! you realise this when later down the line ur pulling out clumps of mess and redoing them urself :P i found that dread wrapping some of mine helped them mature and harden alot quicker, and i still have some wraps in from 2005 and its a great reminder of the first year i had them =DI had always wanted dreads from a very early age, i loved the people i met who had them and completly adored any man who had dreadlocks and nose piercings so i went about my way to get them for myself, i decided to get them after i left school as i knew i would only have grief if i had them during my schooling years, my mother was keen on the idea, my auntie hated it and offered me a grand to not get them, i declined and am so happy coz now they have matured beautifully =DI aspire to be a grannie with dreadlocks x

Im soph =) had dreads for like almost 5 years at the end of this month! glad to be part of the team =) i came about this site because i was looking for an idea for a tattoo, i want a stenciled dreadlock man, and i was wondering if anyone had any pics i could steal, its a long shot. i seen one a while ago and i have no idea where to find it its well annoying, ahh well. peace out x
