General Talk
FYI: you can Google translator. You then type in what you want and it will bring it up in what ever language you pick. It is pretty cool.
My good news is that I have found hope again for my future. I'm moving on with my life and I'm in love.
What a fun thread.
I use to tell my kids, who are about your age now, when they were little and not too keen on brushing their teeth..."to just brush the ones they want to keep", another saying I liked was "your mind is like a parachute...it only works when it is open"

Hi Loc Lava,
You may want to show a few photos with the wire/bead art in your dread, a picture is worth a thousand words. Using color wire vs black wire. Look forward to seeing more. I did go to the Etsy site, you have some great works there. Nice wearable art.

Great, I am really happy you like them. I really love them too. I have some other colors of wire on order, so there will be more options soon. I will work out my pricing over the weekend some time and post some for sale. I would like to know if you prefer the wire color to blend in with your hair? or does it not matter?
They are wonderful!!! Are you going to sell any, if so how much? What gauge wire are you using? How long are they? What a great idea for our dreads.

I have reached my 1 year with dreads. Thus far I really enjoy having them. I have gotten only great comments from others without them dreads and many from those with them. All is good here. I have each month documented in photos on my page if anyone would like to see the process.
I started with backcombing, no wax of course, using baking soda to wash, rinse with apple-cider vinegar and accelerate with sea-salt/lemon juice from time to time. peace and enjoy the earth today

Thanks sooooooo much, can't wait to see and wear the sleeve.
I am one of the first 5 on Mia's (I am Momma) I would like to set up my thread in order to gather 5 pay it forward participants. I have also listed some of the things that I can make on her thread, if anyone wishes to view it...go there. I am so ready to pay it forward! Hope this is the right way to do this??

Added my stuff to the Trade group but still totally up for the Pay it Forward. If any of the first 5 want to go ahead and post a thread I'll be one of the first up there....
Yeh Mia, What have you started...how are you (we/all of us) going to make this work. I am ready to "pay it forward"

I make old fashion Raggedy Ann dolls, ethnic ones too. I can sew almost anything. I have been gathering up odd shaped clear color glass plates, vases, etc at yards sales, to put together and use as recycled bird/hummingbird feeders. I also make cakes/breads/jerky that hold up very well in the mail (if in the USA)
