Washed dreads and oh no!

Help! Save My Dreads

They may or may not, you can blunt them once they are more mature but do yourself a favor and just let them be.

hello! questions about new dreadlocks?

Introduce Yourself

You haven't messed it up at all. Just let it be and it'll start to lock. Wash your hair as often as you feel you need it( probably every 2 to 3 days) and separate your locks by ripping if needed. And don't worry your hair will turn out great.

rectangle sections = flat dreads?

Dread Maintenance

Triangle section does not equal flat dread, your locks will be fine.

i keep doing the twist and ripping on the tips over and over again

Introduce Yourself

You're locks are too young to blunt the tips. You should just let them be and if you still want to blunt them in a year you can do it then. No matter how much you mess with your locks right now you won't be able to blunt your hair until your locks are a lot more mature.

Blowdrying dreads

Dread Maintenance

You can blow dry your dreads the only damage you get is from excessive heat so be careful not to damage your hair by leaving your blow dryer in the same place on your head for too long. The loose hairs that are blowing around will eventually find their way into a dread or from into a dread on their own.

loooooooossssseeee at a rooot

Dread Maintenance

Yes it is fine, your roots shouldn't be super tight at your scalp you should have a half an inch to a couple of inches of root depending on how fast your hair grows, as it grows out it will move around and lock on it's own.

Should I bother?

General Talk

Nothing is something in as much as something is nothing. Nothing to do but something, too bad all the something I have is nothing. Maybe I should go somewhere -- I hear nowhere is nice this time of year. I think I'll take no one, because that no one certainly is someone and is from anywhere but here.
