I grow my own food, well at least what I can. we also grow cows and yes the huge corperation farms are a huge problem and are killing off most of the mom and pop farms which greatly benifit smaller communities. but I understand not everyone has the room to grow their own food. I am lucky for that and I love it. I also compost all junk mail with no plastic and what ever scrap food I can I feed to my dog or compost as well. I don't even have trash service only recycling. it makse me more aware of what I buy. I do have some trash every once in a while I find a random dumpster to throw it in making it hard for me to throw stuff away

so my sister is getting married in november and she sad "you don't have to cut your dreads to be in my wedding" so I said "well I want to look nice" ya know... so any one know a good way to tame loose hairs without usin wax? somethin that will clean em up nice that maybe I can put on em to smooth em out? or a good way to dress em up for the occasion? any tips would be greatly apprecieated or styles to wear em in etc.thanks -adam

I'm a welder and a nucular waste transport hose tech. I've worked for the company for 6 yrs now and made my first dread attempt about 4 yrs ago. didn't really tell anyone I was doin it and came back after christmas break a dreadhead. I work with a bunch of hillbillies and they all gave me shit in the shop. but I have since informed them all and they just kinda got used to it. I since have cut the first attempt out due to wax and started over. I'm not exactly a sales rep so they don't really care to much.

what are some of the best/ worst questions that you get about your dreads

Dreading Methods

I always say I backcombed them and I wash them. I know what ya mean when people think "thats the finished project" I always tell em "they're dreads they kinda do what they want". I do agree that they are grown because most of the pictures I've seen 3yr.s n older are tight ass dreadz. it takes a lot of paitence to get that far I can't even imagine 19 yrs kudos on that. it took me a while to get over what other people thought about them. I mean I always expected the gazes but now i don't even notice and could care less its just hair."

I'm on round two of dreads. the first set lasted me 6 mo. and didn't really know much about em. I've wanted them since I had my first encounter with a dread head. he was so free spirited and I really liked his attitude on life. so I waited a couple years graduated high school and then I felt as tho I needed to get the lock for myself. I live in a very small town and the looks I get are almost always in discust but I love my hair. I think i did it to be different in this small town. I also attend music festivals and that was a big inspiration. I'm keepin these for years!
