Homeschool/unschool folks?

dready interests

If you don't want to homeschool, you don't have to. If I don't want to send my kids to a school where bullying isn't handled correctly & different learning styles are frowned upon & singled out as a disability, where they want to medicate my intelligent, creative children, just because the teacher is too busy, I don't have to. Isn't it a wonderful world?

Soaking, washing, bunching, separating...

General Questions

That's what I was worried about, if they're blunt, it's harder for the water to run out, right? I got one undone, but it's the back of my head & I can't see what I'm doing =/

I did watch your tutorial last week =) it gave me peace of mind about my crazy roots lol =) but when I wash them, they start to fuse together & I'd really like to keep them fairly small =D

I'll try to get a photo of my blunted babies...

Thank you both <3

General Questions

When I wash my 2 month old baby dreads, the underside gets very bunched together & some of the very bottom dreads suck their tails (is there another word for this?) up inside of themselves. I do a BS/EO/water soak, then an ACV/water soak once a week. I've used cool water & haven't scrubbed. Is this normal? Should I wait until they're dry to separate again?? Can I pull the "tails" out or should I just leave them be??

How would I look with dreadlocks?

General Talk

You would look great with dreads!!! It took me a long time to stop caring if other people *might* not like dreads. *I* love them & like SE said, I feel more like myself than ever before!!! Most peoples' reactions to me growing dreads have mostly either been non-existentor positive =)

Never using shampoo again!

Dread Maintenance

I started using diluted Dr. Bronner's withlavenderEO or a BS mixture a while before I stopped brushing my hair, less and less often, until it was once a week...I was afraid the itchy scalp thing would scare me away!! I have only had it once, when I went a few days over my normal week. I use the Dr. Bronner's or BS mixture on my 2 older kiddos now also =) I have friends who say using a clarifying shampoo works...but meh, BS is way cheaper lol =)
