Those bumps are good. They are loops forming. It means that your locks are tangling right along and knotting in on themselves. It's a good sign. Don't do anything to them. As they mature, they will disappear and just turn into texture on your locks

okay cool thats arelief! I figured it was normal because i havent doneanythingto my dreads, i wash with just water. except i did order a hemp bar i'll be using soon. and the past week i've been sticking them in the ocean since im on vacation and i heard dreads love salt water! and let me say it has worked wonders !!!

im not sure if theres a certin name for it so im just gonna call it bumps.

theres bumps in my dreads how do i fix this or do i just let it be? i'd add a photo but my computer wont let me right now..

Comb out dreadlocks or keep them, that is the question

stick with it! i know how you feel trust me. im on week 2 and my friends keep saying "your dreads are falling out" "you have lose hairs" "when are they gonna dread" what you need to tell your friends family and yourself is to havepatience. they will look good! just stick with it. some days i get so fed up with my hair and my wanna be dreads i just tie them up, i put them on top of my head with a cute hair scarf and then suddenly im gettingcomplementedon my dreads or i put them into a side poney tail. play with your dreads you'll love it! and about being too old for dreads, thatridiculous! your not too old for dreads. people give me weird looks too its just something you need to look past. wear your dreads withconfidence.

do you take your beads out or leave them in? like when showering and sleeping... my friend was at a garage sale and found a bunch of cool glass beads shes bringing over for me. im going to boil them before putting them in because i dont wanna get nastys in my hair just in case im just curious what everyone does with there beads..

these loose messy hairs and unraveling of some dreads are driving me crazy! I know everyone on here says wax is bad but seriously? is it THAT horrible? what about something more natural and sticky like honey? is there anything i can do to help me with these lose hairs? and is unraveling of some dreads normal? all my friends are telling me that it looks like my dreads are coming out but i keep telling them to shush and give it time! its just getting annoying to look at everyday. but i still love my dreads dont get me wrong! i just want them to look as good as possible. Having dreads at first is like apermanentbad hair day...
