Jamaican Mango and Lime No More Itch Gro Spray

Dread Products

olive oil is a conditioner and would probably slow down the process of dreading.

I made the mistake of putting olive oil directly on my dreads and it took while for it to get out but they were pretty soft.

Girls with dreads

Life Issues Facing Dreads

I hate that they say that dreads are just a phase. dreads are a journey and the phases of dreads appear within it. I get most of my criticism from my parents, especially my mom, even before my dreads it was constantly "your eyes, your clothes, your weight, blah blah"ignoring it is hard when it's constant but someone is going to love all of you even your dreads. it's the 21st century not all guys are into that 1950's perception of what females should be. I have guys flirt with me in college all the time (well not ALL time but when they do) and usually the conversation starter is about my dreadlocks, usually compliments or asking to touch them. dreads are interesting and unique just like the people who have them.

for those people commenting on the way you choose to look they're really just saying that you're different and that makes them uncomfortable. no one should ever comment on the way other people look thats my mentality unless its a praise or a word of notice. but really just say hey i have dreads this is me and by saying that i'm less attractive makes you less attractive. like psh dreads make guys less attracted to you ..yeah well being an asshole makes people less attracted to them. you can't change the opinions of the people who are criticizing, some people like dreads and some people don't. but you really aught to let them know that comments like that don't help anyone, in fact can lower self esteem, like if they said something like that to the wrong person you never know what could happen, some people can get really offended and put down. I'm glad you're happy though don't sweat the commentary, it's irrelevant to you because you know that you're beautiful and you know that you will find someone who will like all of you for you. :)

Help: roots of my dreads

Help! Save My Dreads

So the right side of my head feels kind of empty. i think this is because i have fatter dreads on this side. there is this one dread though that the root is not a good shape for a root to be. it's a linear shape rather than a square or a circle shape, so it causes the dread to be flat and the root looks really matted and i don't like it. is There anything i can do? they're over a year old and really thick. you cant really tell in the picture my hair is really dark.

Separating/parting

Dreading Methods

So it doesn't really matter that my hair was parted a certain way when I made my dreads? And how should I go about section ing his hair randomly if I want them all to be about the same thickness ?

Separating/parting

Dreading Methods

So it's probably to late for me but I heard that parting your hair like in the middle or on the side is bad when you're growing your hair long because the weight and such and that it can cause weakening in that area so the scalp is more revealed as time goes on. I have a friend who wears his hair strait back because of this. I was wondering if this is true. when I made my dreads I did them along the hair part. I can move my dreads either side but I was just wondering this because I'm going to use the twist and rip method on my friend and I don't want to separate incorrectly or so that he gets thoses spaces like I once did.

opinions por favor :)

General Questions

Thank you, I'll probably play around with them while I still can maybe cut them short again or something new until I really decide to dread. That's weird about the smoking thing though I thought I was just weird for being able to smell anything in my dreads.

General Questions

I dunno about the neglect method for them, because I mess with them too much since they're in front of my face but I dunno I guess I'll try everything until I see what I like. I'm just sort of bored with them. Thanks Justin btw:)About the smoking thing it's weird because my dreads won't smell like anything even in smoke heavy areas but my bangs will smell like strait shit

General Questions

so my heads not fully dreaded. I left my bangs un dreaded because it looked neat but now they're longer and i'm debating on dreading them, but again i'm not sure because of how they're placed on my head. so I'm gonna post a picture and maybe some of you can tell me what you think i should do?

oh and on a side note question for people who smoke or have smoke around them do your dreads smell like it afterwards? because mine don't but my bangs do and its annoying so i guess its another reason to dread them.

I have particularly thin hair

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So i have thin and not so long hair and dreads right now. I'm wondering if there's anyways to help hair growth or thickness. I've heard of shampoos that help hair growth but since I have dreads maybe there's a more natural way...besides patience.
