My locks are finally long enough that I can you're then in a knot behind my head. I find it Super cool that I dont need hair ties or bands anymore. Question is, does this do any damage ? My locks are 16 months mature.

I skipped acv and know my hair is discolored and brittle. on recovery road. Do use acv even if for only a quick rinse as it will cancel the alkalinity of the BS and protect your hair. I did get a cool blonde color everyone likes though, jaja

dandruff and itch

Hi guys. Im at a year and 3-4 months (lost track) and very happy. Well thing is i still need to wash religously every third day. If not, I get itchy and dandruff. I've been using BS/acv and dreadlockshampoo dragon blood and Nag Champa. Is there any way I can go about keping my scalp happy and healthy for longer periods witjout wash? . Im goin camping for a week and don't know if ill be able to wash as much. A different shampoo? help!

When adding oils to BS/acv, should it go with the BS or with the Vinegar? I would think to add it to the acv rinse but not sure.

I never cover them, but Wow did it feel good when I received my very first compliment. I was sitting at a restaurant when a arranger came up and said "hey, nice dreads! " That was the moment I realized I finally graduated from mess to actual locks!

Natural or Twist N Rip?

I have.coiled curly hair and did T&R but if I could do over would go natural. Reason is an entire section on the back of my head fell out so I combed it and let it be. I watched their progress compared to the T&R and was amazed with what happened. For the first six months they just separated into various curls and looked the same while the TnR looked frihzzy bumpy and loopy. On month 7 and 8, they sudden started.dreading very quick. And at a year, the naturals looked way better and tighter than the TnRs. They also sectiined themselves better. Definitly go natural, and even more if you have curly our African texture.

Thanks for the advice. I have teatree and rosemary oils, i think il buy some peppermint or lavender and try the spray first. Ill let u know how it goes...

My locks are extreeeemly dry. Mostly from the use of BS without ACV for many months. They locked up good and are really tight and mature (1 year) but they are very coarse and brittle. So much that they have lost color and some are almost whitish blond (mostly where the sun hits them). What can i do to rehydrate or condition my locks without loosening them or leaving residue. I use dreadlockshampoo bartwice a week and bs/acv once a week. i just want them soft again an dont want breakage.

hair discoloration

No lemon juice. I do go to the beach weekly and am outdoors allot. I'm guessing this is it. I'm also thinking I might have lint. Would the dye help if its lint? Its a bit frustrating when people ask why my dreads are whiteish.
