gross dreads
Dread Maintenance
are there any clarifying shampoos that are residue free?
ya the picture you cant tell from, but the parts of the dreads nearest to the scalp are kind of gunky and look nasty. they are darker in color from it, but it wont come out, any ideas?
I dont know what to do about this. at the base of my dreads it is dreading mostly from hairs falling out and and getting tangled. theres alot of white hair bulbs from the hairs, but thats not what makes them gross. In those sections the dread is darker, and greasy looking. what the hell should i do about that?? it almost looks like there is wax in them, but there isnt. I attached a picture but you cant really tell, but its like that on almost all of them. Also im using a dreadlocksshampoo bar currently and used to BS/acv wash.
I think i know what youre talking about. does you scalp feel sore, or does it ache in that area??
I wear these mini soccer headbands when im working out, because my hairs too short to tie back :

They work great and dont slip around, but i would wear them as little as possible avoid hindering the dread process too much
Anyone ever use this? It says its residue free and im looking to get some. Here are theingredients: Deoinized Water, Organic Aloe Vera , Saponified Organic Oils of Coconut, Olive , Jojoba Oil , Natural Citrus Essential Oil , Organic Orange Oil , Geranium , Lavender , Rosemary Extract , Horsetail , Red Ginger (Awapuhi) , Organic Cocoa Butter , Wild Cherry Bark , Hops , Nettle , Chamomile , Peppermint , Sage , Yarrow , Balm Mint, Vitamin A .. idk whats good and bad, so if anyone knows if this would be good let me know. thank you
Has anyone here ever tried cinnamon to stimulate hair growth? I found this article on it http://www.livestrong.com/article/373309-how-to-stimulate-hair-growth-with-cinnamon/ and they claim that applying a paste made from cinnamon to the scalp can stimulate blood circulation, relieve hair loss, and increase hair growth. Also its claimed to have anti-fungal, anti-viral, and antioxidant properties from its oils. Any one ever heard of this?
thats what i use too, the unscented kind. my hair is just dreading very very slow.
i lift 6x week, and wash every other day although id like to wash everyday. so half the time i dont wash after sweating. its not working that well for me though as far as progress goes, so idk what id do if i were you. every other day seems to work good for some though, from what i hear
