About a foot of loose ends

Dread Maintenance

The way my hair dreads up, naturally, is like an inch (sometimes less) dreaded and the whole other like 8 inches of my hair loose. It's been SLOWLY dreading further down on some.

I guess there are just a lot of different factors that determines the way our hair dreads, and what it does during the process. It is common for dreads to completely fall out for various reasons. I've never heard of it beingrecommendedto re-do any starter method, so I guess you just gotta give 'em time. Why don't you do like a sea salt spray or something to encourage some knotting, though?

Where to start w/ eating Ital.

Dreads and Diets

I want to begin an Ital diet. I was wondering if anyone knew of any books or anything that could cover the topic in depth, or provide some sort of guide to begin.

It seems pretty self-explanatory, but I just want some more information on the topic before I jump in.

Rosemary for my hair

Dread Maintenance

I didn't know what to do because it wasn't an oil, more like a tea. I just used it in the BS mix though, cut with water. It worked well.

Rosemary for my hair

Dread Maintenance

Yesterday my friend brought me some rosemary that he picked on the way to my house. I boiled it, and decided to use it in my hair today.

I usually wash my hair with the dreadlocks shampoo, but today I'm gonna do the BS/acv wash. How should I do this? I was going to wash my hair with the BS/acv like normal, and then pour the rosemary stuff over my head, rinse it out in a few minutes. Right?

Lice all along?

Help! Save My Dreads

Um. well. I didn't read all of your post or any of these comments lol. So maybe this is irrelevant and I don't realize it, but if you had lice you would not be wondering if you had lice. When you have lice, you know. It's awful. I had a big problem with lice in middle school.

Neem and tea tree oil is supposed to prevent against lice (and I think neem kills them), but I'm sure someone has already said that.

General Questions

I never rinse with cold. I hate cold. Should I be, or I am okay?

Bathing and hair washing routine

Dread Maintenance

I hate shower caps, but I'll use one if I must.

Bathing and hair washing routine

Dread Maintenance

I feel like I ask the oddest questions on here xD but anyways,

I want to start increasing the time I wait to wash my hair. I have been washing every 2 days, no exceptions. But the last two weeks have been hectic and I missed a day. It wasn't the end of the world or anything and now I think I've skipped a day again, can't even remember.

I know it's okay to start washing less because my hair produces WAY less oil than it used to. Buuuut, I wash when I take shower, which means I'm showering every two days. I don't want to wait more than two days to wash my body.

When you guys wash your hair, is that also when you bath? Do you wear a shower cap when you're not washing your hair? Just, how can I arrange this so it works?

Takin it to the streets

General Talk

Okay, Microsoft Word works just as well as Publisher. Something very nice could be created on there. It also makes sense for there to be some kind of free service online that you could design a poster thingy.

We can totally make this :D I just have no idea what we would write on it.

I agree with the black and white. I don't have design skills, but Idefinitelyhave computer skills. I would think something like this would be very easy with Microsoft Publisher, but I do not have it on my computer. I'm going to mess around and see if I can still make a poster/hand out thing with Paint or Word.
