so many strays!

crochet and dread tools recovery

I assume you are asking if I still have my dreads? I do. Almost at the one year mark.. and they are as ridiculous as ever. Strays everywhere.. I havent been spraying with salt water, because frankly, i'm lazy. I tend to just twist the strays around the closest dread as well. it doesnt stay long but it does the trick for a short while. when they are really bothering me, i will just wear my dreads in a french bread or pulled back (with or without a headband)

edit- looking back at pictures from the last few months It looks like they have tamed down more with time... but i guess some amount of stray hairs is normal?

I started my dreads and "maintained" them via the crochet method. I stopped crocheting them about 3 months ago. They are getting softer, albeit slowly...

However, now I have tons of stray hairs that stick out everywhere!! Please tell me they will start to dread on their own someday??

Anything to do with the tips?

Dread Maintenance

I think curly little ends are awesome- I have a few myself. If your ends dont dread up on their own they will eventually break off and your ends will become rounder in time. My friends dreads did exactly that. She had long wispy ends and now they are very round.

As SE said, leave them alone ;)

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

It will stay. i used it for a CrossFit prom thing that we had and danced liked crazy. i used the big bobby pins and also several of these: http://www.target.com/p/Goody-Simple-Styles-Spin-Pin-Brunette/-/A-12355836?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=%7C12355836&CPNG=health%20beauty&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=12355836

they work super well

The one with the picture link... I want to do that for prom, but would it stay? Like, I'm definitely going to be dancing a lot and I need a sturdy updo(:
