dreadlocks changing more than your hair

General Talk

thanks :) and i definitely agree with your big post, there is no one form of beauty. maybe it's just the artist in me, but i see beauty everywhere from the cracks on the sidewalk to mold growing in an old cup. glad your hair reflects you truly now, mine is always changing right now and i feel myself evolving at the same time. love and light :)

once i made the decision in my head, before i even started them, i just started feeling happier. then i started making them and now i'm doing neglect, and even though i have had pretty much no support from my family and friends (except my bro), strangely i feel better about myself than ever before! basically just a huge self confidence boost :)

Thank youuu :) At first my blunted ends were like lollipops with the end being round and the rest of the dread really skinny but somehow they fattened up or rounded out to look like they are today! As for the blunting, only about half of mine did and the rest are wispy, I kinda prefer the paintbrush type ends a tad more. Congrats on your over two years! :):):)

Agree, super beautiful. I love the blunted ends in cool shapes, really cool. I wish mine would hurry up and blunt properly, I'm over two years and they haven't made up their minds, haha. Amazing pictures :)

Hello everyone! I haven't updated in awhile! I also haven't really been taking any pictures, but I've gone back through my phone gallery to try and find how my dreads looked in the gap.

This was taken 9/26/13, and is during the 19th month mark!

10/06 still 19 months:

10/24 at 20 months:

11/01 at 20 months:

11/13 at 21 months:

And now today at 12/9/13 a few days shy of 22 months!

Wow...time sure does fly. I've drastically reduced my internet usage, and my camera was broken. I got a new phone tho which takes good pictures so here's 14 months, and 15 months!

14 months 5 days:

And 15 months 1 day:

I feel like they've rounded out more and that the ones in the back have grown a lil bit. I get more compliments on them now.

I've been away for awhile, sorry! But that means I can show you three months worth of progress at once! :D

October 13th, 8 months!

First tattoo Oct 28! Robin for my mother, named Robyn :) You can also see my developing dreadies :)

9 months! November 13! At the time I didn't want to upload these because my one dread is sticking out at a weird angle in every pic!

And now, December 13, 10 MONTHS! At day 305, 60 more to go! :D

:)

Ah well I spent the majority of my 11-17 years being some combination of shy/depressed/anti-social/social anxiety so yeah it was only a couple months before I turned 18 that I started SLOWLY coming out of my shell I think it was honestly influenced by a History of the 60s class I took in high school, that's when I started listening to classic rock and learning about the hippie movement and that honestly just somehow made my brain happier! Fast forward a couple months I get my first job this year where I have to speak to people constantly all day! So Publix helped me by letting me realize that people were just like me and nothing to be afraid of. Plus I think just gettin older helped me out! I rarely got hit on or approached until I grew self-confidence, now it's quite a bit! Confidence is key as they always said and now I know it's true! So yeah no girls no boys, I used to think I was asexual! yep that's my story haha

ahh well im so happy for you ..

u desserve he best so congrats

but wait how old are ya and are u..seriusly saying that this is the 1st guy you ever dated..in tyour life?

id havce to assume that you only dated girls before him then?

causetherrs no way its possible that u hadnt had hundreds maybe thousands wantung to be with you (although i think i can understand..with beauty like youirs u get alotta superficial types that want the whole arm candy thing or just interested in something physical withoit really wanting to know u deeper which im sure can really put u off from wanting to get involved

edit: oh u are alot younger then i thought u were haha i thought u were like mid 20s at least..makes a lil more sence now but not alot
