They din't seem very dready
General Talk
Ah well, good thing I only did it the one time.
And again, I do separate, but not as much as I should. The really big ones are far tooentangledto separate at this point, I think.

Yea. I don't separate as often as I should. What's the best way to do that?
I did separate in the back and left side because they were almost one big mat. So, I cut vertically to get em a little separated.
I wash with Dr. Bronners once a week. Sometimes I switch to the BS/ACV rinse.
The first picture was the main one that got me. It just looks like a shaggy mess. :P
I mean most people can tell by now they are. I Just wish I had Bob Marley dreads. But I know that won't happen. At least not yet. :p
I have individual locks, but they dont' look all neat and ready. It almost looks, at first likes like I just have really messy hair.
But they turned a year old a month ago, so I can't complain too much.
I wouldn't bottle ocean water. Just buy sea salt at your local grocer. All progress is good progress. February will mark my 1 year dreadversary and my hair is still doing crazy frizzy things. It just takes time and patience.
Also, welcome to the site and enjoy your journey!

I felt the same way! It's very easy to get misguided when it comes to dreads. There's a lot of different information out there so it's very easy to get headed down the wrong path. But it's good you found this place so these guys can help you.
You could use aloe to help keep it looking neat and tidy when you're at work.
If your hair is longer you can use an elastic band or something to put it up. That's just a thought.
I was my hair 3 times a weeek. Monday Wednesday and Friday (days vary depending on my schedule.)
I do salt water spray once a week. It doesn't seem to make a huge difference, it just kind of dries and frizzes up the hair a little. SE suggest doing it before washing. Don't leave it in too long (like all day) or your scalp with be very upset with you.
That's my newbie advice. I'm still at the beginning stages myself, I hope that helps until someone who is more in the know pops in.
