retwisting dreads locs dangers

Help! Save My Dreads

i was just talking to my aunt the other day (fellow dreadie) and she was saying how she had a bout with alopecia too. she had to go to a dr and get shots in her scalp (ouch) since they were dime sized. i started telling her about this site and how i haven't gotten my dreads retwisted in like 2 almost 3 months. her dreads are gorgeous but she has lostmore than afew dreadsalong the way and i definitely do not want to go down that path. everytime i feel like i need to go to a salon i come back to this site and remind myself why i shouldn't. just dont do it!

HELP! Very Short, Bridesmaid dread up-do?

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I agree with the previous posts. I would go with a flower and you can also put on some type of headband as well (my go to staple hehe). I don't understand what the issue is. Your dreads are short enough that it can blend in with the other bridesmaids that have updos. I say just throw a flower or headband on and call it a day. No point in stopping your dread journey for ONE day. If people feel the need to talk, let em!
