thanks guys the way i fixed it is by blunting the ends via palm roll and I think it looks a lot better now
@mountain mama do you do energy work I'm going to take the national body worker exam when I graduate school I'm in a town called McMinnville I have a reiki mentor, she's amazing
anyway I'm not in high school
here is a picture of what my ends look like if you guys wanna see
So I'm gonna post some pics so you guys can see my current hair as of today. Yesterday the teachers of my school told me that I need to make my hair look more presentable and since I can't wear any head wear I'm not sure how I will do that. Here are some things you should know, : I live in the bible belt (differences are not tolerated here), I go to school for energy work/massage therapy and that's about it.
Ppl do say my hair looks crazy all the time at school but I've already dedicated myself to having dreads for at least 5 years. Started out twist then went neglect. DO you guys think I should just keep doing neglect btw.
Any ideas what to say to get these small minded Christoids off my back?
the idea that hair was like an extension of the central nervous system intrigued me so i googled around and found this cool story
i've heard all my life that our hair is dead who knows if this story is true but it could be
well dude u have the sweetest dreads i ever seen
I am one of those ppl who are having a hard time grasping it but heres my two cents i was raised by a lady who did hair for a living and i always washed with salon grade shampoo and i think that shampoo made my hair so soft and slick that my hair never dreaded because i def never brushed my hair
but after washin my hair with baking soda i can see how leaving the hair alone makes it knot up over time
i think its just an education/experience lacking i didnt find dreadlock knowledge until i actively seeked it and ended up here
damn that actuallly makes sense i guess capitalism marketing is fooling more ppl than just me
great advice you guys are the dread pros so i'm gonna put my trust in you strangers yeah mine are twisted at the root
i wash my hair everyday in the shower with baking soda i heard some ppl say let em go greasy but i can't do that cause my hair gets super greasy and thats gross
