This pain in the @#$% lock is about to drive me crazy- help!?

Dread Maintenance

Lol, she doesn't want to be like everyone else! I hope that solves it for you. I was going to suggest combing it out too. Maybe this time it will dread better. I know how painful misbehaving dreadies can be!

How much do you care about sectioning?

Dread Maintenance

Hairs in between don't bother me, but I do check for stray hairs that are trying to mingle too far away. My scalp is pretty sensitive so I have to make sure nothing's pulling too much. Other than that I just separate as far up as it will go. :)

Escaped the hook

Saved Dreads Success Stories

Please, pleeeaase stop the hard drugs. I've had four friends die from overdosing in the last year and a half. It's not anything you want to mess with. One friend died last week...she also said she loved heroin...so hearing you say the same thing gives me chills. There are resources available to help you quit if you can't do it on your own.

PLANTS N HERBS THAT I CAN GROW FOR DAILY USE . .?

General Talk

I use rosemary from my garden a lot. Cilantro and mint are really nice too. I haven't done much in the way of using them other than for cooking, but you could make a tea out of either of those three.

Wedding Dreads

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

I agree on the biotin--research foods that have it and up those if you can to get it naturally. I'm getting married in August and currently my hair is half dreaded...it's kind of exciting not knowing how they'll look by then. :) Can you use bobby pins at all? There are stronger holding ones at beauty supply shops like Sally's. I looked at your photos and I Iike the half up/down look on you. You could fasten that with a pretty barrette and your veil. Or find a flower wreath, fun headband, or blusher veil that suits your style and wear your hair down. Lastly, if your wedding is vintage at all, you could pin it up and find an awesome hat to wear. Hope that helps to spark some creativity!

is it true that some dreads never fully mature

General Questions

I've heard of hair not dreading at all, especially around the face. Mine has been pretty stubborn in that area. I saw a girl on YouTube saying that her hair framing her face never dreaded, and her dreads were 9 years old. But dreads that start knotting continue to knot until mature.
