Cutting Dreads.

Help! Save My Dreads

No, this is a public school, and im hoping to be able to return to my fine arts school, i have to make an appeal. Even though cutting them is going to be hard, my hair will still be nappy. And theyll be thick by the time they get long again. The alternative school wont know they're dreads, theyll just think i have curly hair. Its going to be tough, but in the end my roots will be stronger. Plus, its fucking Georgia, they wont take the spirituality of it.

Help! Save My Dreads

Hey Guys so im in a bit of adilemma. I have to go to the Alternative school and guys are not allowed to have long hair. They also say that you cant have dreads. So i have to cut my hair to above my ear and to my eyebrows. Im not brushing it out though, there are only about 4 pieces that are strongly dreaded so i dont think theyll notice i have dreads. But i am keeping my nappy hair. Any tips on what to do? Thanks

Well its been about f and a half months of dreading. i have a couple of fat locs in the back and theres some stuff thats not dreaded at all back there. Been using sea salt spray and lemon juice. Washing with baking soda and dr. bonners.

My dreads are now 1 month old. I never would of known it would be this deep and spiritual thing for me. Letting your hair grow naturally and letting it form itself is one of the most beautiful things you could do. I thought i would be very impatient about my hair locking, but i just loved each day, seeing new locs form. Being happy. Being nappy.
