365 Shampoo from whole foods

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

That's all I use, is the dreadlock shampoo SE recommended, and only a couple times a week at most. I don't really find it necessary to 'wash' them a lot, just rinsing my hair daily if needed, it feels nice.

The Power Of Chia Seeds

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I think we can all recall the "Chi Chi Chi CHIA!" pets from way back when. These seeds have a much more powerful use than just fast growing fuzzy clay "pets". In the same way these seeds will help your body grow.

Long ago the Aztecs, correct me if I am wrong on the culture, used chia seeds and water when going into battle to keep hydrated. This allowed them much more endurance on the battle field. When you get chia seeds wet in water they absorb the water and form a gelatinous coating around each seed. This slows the absorption rate of water within the body allowing your body to better retain the water for proper use and hydration. By using a few tabled spoons of chia in a bottle of water a day, you get pretty much a days worth of protein in on simple easy drink!

I have been doing this for a couple months and my hair has been growing in more thick and healthy, on top of the healthy diet switch I made last year which has taken care of the dandruff issue I had always had my entire life. My girlfriend has noticed her hair growing faster, her fingernails finally for the first time in her life being stronger and more thick, and our friends receding hairline has come back to normal enough that his wife noticed and pointed it out.

Chia Seeds.

You can find them at a health foods store.

Going veg and need a hand

Dreads and Diets

Yeah man, I gave myself 100 to eat each week when I ate out a lot, and it was enough, going Veg means you will have more money to eat with if your doing your shopping right.

Thanks for mentioning the Seitan SE, never heard of it, and will be getting some now.

What I have come to REALLY enjoy about this way of living is that you get to eat a variety of fruits and veggies. Thats the key, variety.

Various questions on obtaning and maintaning dreadlocks

Dreading Methods

yup. from day one, rock em like you got em. From my experience, most people have instant respect. Dreads are also a great filter for those people who shouldnt be in your life who might spread negative vibes and bring you down. Dreads will allow you to spread your wings, even when the cubical shrinks :)

Melatonin

Introduce Yourself

Adam, you seriously should have just let me think you were a teenager...wow.

"All that is conscious is what weperceiveand are aware of." and you are clearly aware of not much.

Yes, I am aware that the eye balls are anextensionof the brain. And as such, can absorb and take in natural light from the Sun. Der, how can our bodies produce vitamin D through the skin? Could it be similar to how a plant performs photo-synthesis? The human organism has the natural ability to adapt and overcome, some would say "mind over matter" as "pretentious" as that may seem, I know, I know. So after three months, of building up my Retinas ability to take in and absorb said natural Sun light, dont you think that I would be going blind by now? or have some abnormal growth on my eyes? Nay, on the contrary my results have been the exact opposite. I could go get an exam, last I had one my eye sight was like 21/20 or something slightly off. So if they have improved would it be all thatnoticeable? Like plugging a computer into the wall outlet, so do you plug your brain into the power of the Sun, the provider of all life within this solar system. I do a lot of heavy reading, but sometimes I can only read one page a night as each line is filled with esoteric wisdom that must be meditated on andabsorbed. You would like Steven Hawking too.
