Thinking about shaving my head
Good point i once shaved off my beard that was a year old and I was depressed for the next year! So the same might happen with my head hair
I mentioned it to the wife earlier expecting her to be like NO! but she had a evil grin like lets shave it but said i better keep my beard! possibly its reverse psychology? I haven't had locks for the 3 years the first 2 was just growing hair the next 9 months was locking it. Iv always been interested with hair and wanting super long hair and when brushing i would actually save the shed hairs that's when i started thinking about dreads to keep the shed hair and grow it past terminal length. I understand its going to take a long time to grow back and even longer for it to lock up but that could be a good learning lesson. I'm having a hard time shaving it now that iv talked about it! it almost makes me want to cry! but at the same time i shouldn't be this attached to something.
Also do u have someone else that can help separate I know I have to do my wife's cause it mangles so much at the roots I have to hold up the hair that mangles then rip from the root up she could never do it herself and some hairs get so stuck she is almost crying while I separate
I also find bucks co to leave my hair silky smooth but i do have some sectioning/knotting going on, My wife has formed dreads and it knots her roots like crazy :S. Do u find dollylocks any better i did a quick search and this is my conclusion.. bucks co has 2 oils plus essential oil.. Dolly locks has 4 oils plus essential oil..
Bucks Co. - Ingredients: distilled water, decyl glucoside (natural corn oil & natural plant sugar), lauryl glucoside ( natural coconut oil & natural plant sugar), beer, calendula, rosemary & green tea infusion, organic Australian Tea Tree, sea salt.
Dolly locks. - Ingredients: Distilled Spring Water, Saponified Coconut Oil*, Olive Oil, Castor Bean Oil*, Almond Oil*, Tea Tree Essential Oil*, Spearmint Extract, Grapefruit Seed Extract - *ORGANIC
yeah its amazing the difference between real life and picture visuals.. in the mirror and pictures my hair looks normal unsectioned but i actually counted about 23 dead/sections in a small area they are super tiny and somehow stuck together without any visable knots.. mind u they are super tiny the biggest being the size of a pen.
I know this thread is 3 years old but it made me think... I started my dreads right before winter and I wore a tuq everyday it was cold..when spring started I took it off and wore my hair down everyday now it's starting to section..
