haha No one can talk shit on SE's dreads!!! Usually I love that website, but some of their writers can be assholes who just like to bag on other people out of boredom. Just dust em off.
The layers actually look really cool on dreads! It'll make them stand out more and look really cool!
Thanks! :-D Me too!

Glad you didn't let it stop you from doing what you wanted, and glad he's come around to it welcome
Thanks! I actually think he may be starting to like my hair...because now he can touch it without me complaining about it getting messy!

well congrats and seems like both aare off to a better start
I joined this site a few days ago and have yet to introduce myself! My name is Dani and I had 3 month old dreads when I brushed them out for a guy I'm seeing. I regretted it a few weeks later and decided to stand up for myself and start over. I'm partially glad I did take them out though, because I had used wax once and even though I got it out, I had backcombed and palmrolled the crap out of them! When I told my bf that I was getting them back we got in a huge silly fight over it. HOWEVER, he saw me today for the first time since I restarted them. (I lightly back combed them just to give em a kick start but tossed my comb in the trash when I was done.) Also today, I dyed my hair a pretty red. He likes my new dreads MUCH better now. He still wishes I'd keep my "normal hair" as he says. lol...but he's over it and we're not going to ever fight about it again! :-D He even apologized to me today for making such a huge deal! It honestly made my dreads AND our relationship mean more! Anyway...that's pretty much my story...lol So hello everyone. Oh and here's my red dreads on day three! (only day one of being red though :-P )
You need to relax, and let em take their course, Whether you use the back, combing, twist and rip, or neglect method. You NEED patience. Dreadlocks are the PERFECT way to learn patience though. So it sounds like this will be a good lesson for you.
Exactly. It's sad. People are so run by money that they lack compassion for their fellow man and just focus on getting richer.

And this I do agree with, if we all just shared, traded and gave willingly no one would ever go hungry, want or need... I hate money, it's what makes the world go round for so many and how it plays into greed has helped make so much of the world what it sadly is today.
