second dread attempt

Dread Maintenance

the first one i had ended in my fiance cutting them off one night over a kleenex box sobbing because i got lice and had wax build up. well hair is about 4 inches now and i have little babies formed on the back of my head that stick out straight and are spiky. any ways i was curious to know if i could back comb some of the hair on the sides around the edges to help encourage new dread growth on the sides of my head. if not dread it just tease and get some good matts to form. so far the new dreads have been making their residence naturally. advice or concerns?

Dread Maintenance

after my first experiance with dreads (back comb, wax and then lice fallowed by shaving them off) my hair has grown to be about 3 inches all over give or take. i already have about 5 or 6 little dreads formed in the back and at this point it would take a bit of work to get them out (not that i want to). do you guys think i should help get the top and sides going by teasing the hair or just leave it? i want dreads really bad again.. i cried when i had to cut them off. im also expecting my first child in may and would love for there to be some actual formed dreads but the length is still kinda short..

pictured are my old dreads almost 8 months old i think..

IM PREGNANT!!! but..

Dreads in the Family

I just found out a few days ago my hubby and I are expecting in May :) My hair is still to short to even tangle from the first go around with my dreads. How do people react when you have dreadlocks and have a child? I'm really not worried about self-esteem here but I don't want the negativity hurting our child. Regardless of society I'm still growing my hair and going all natural but I do want to be prepared so in 9 months when I have my actual baby and my baby dreadlocks I have a sense of what to expect...

Hello

Introduce Yourself

I had dread locks through back combing about a year ago and had then for a year. i got lice and through my own personal discission i shaved them off because wax build up and improper practice. my hair now is about two inches long and im starting the life cycle all over again by using all natural products and medicines to healthy eating and exercise . I feel great and though i dont have dreads yet im hoping through the regrowth of my hair and a new birth of locks will help open my eye to life to the neglect method. thanks for reading and please if anyone has a knowledgeable back ground to homeopathy and herbs in general and how to make stuff please email me i have loads of questions!
