To congo or not to congo, thats the question

Dread Maintenance

Hey!

I'm also 6 month into dreading and my hair is congoing at a couple spots. So far i let it

happen cause these combinations make sense to me. 2 small ones get a little bigger by congoing.

The longer I'm in, the calmer i get, cause my hair seems to know exactly what to do :-)

But if the congoing sections would'nt be close together i would separate them.

Good progress to all!

Dread Maintenance

I'm gonna do it. I think.

Introduce Yourself

Hi Guillaume!

I think you are scared about the wrong thing. Evenly growing dreads look "made" and kind of boring in my view. Unevenly growing natural dreads are showing your personality and are unique. The perfect individually fitting dreads for you and everyone else.

So just let it naturally happen, lots of patience und you will not be disappointed at all!

Jah bless your journey!

is there such thing as using an alternative to sea salt spray?

Introduce Yourself

Hey!

Then don't use the seasalt if it causes your scalp to itch very bad. You don't have to, it's only

kind of a catalysator to speed up the dreading process a little bit. So it is not nescessary at all!

You will get dreaded hair without using seasalt for sure!

JAH bless your journey!

Uploaded some pics of my progress...

Introduce Yourself

Hi!

why not wearing your babydreads open like in your avatar pic?

I only wear a tam when it rains, and my hair dreads on the sides and back simular.

But a tam works def better than a ponytail!

good progress!

Why it is absolutely idiotic to trim your hair while locking up the first year...

Dreading Methods

Ha Ha, that's a great discricption :-)

"By day three I was horrified at what I discovered: my hair has a mind of its own!"

Does that even suggest our brain get slowly sucked out of our heads by our dreads to create their own smart species ond leave us stupid behind :-))
Ha Ha, you saved my day!!!

essentiel oil mixture at backing soda rinse

Dread Maintenance

I would't do more than 5-7 drops per liter, cause essential oils have a real strong smell. But i'm

not sure of watermelon harmonies with mandarine. Try it out.

Merry XMAS!
