Considering wax or something to help my dreads..
Dread Maintenance
Any amount of wax will RUIN them
I'm just around the three month mark also using the dreadlockshampoo.com's stuff and i have the exact same thing going on in a few dreads. I'm not really worried about it, but just want to let you know you're not alone haha
No matter your hair type you should just ditch your comb and conditioner, and go natural. But if you can't wait, try twist and rip yourself. DON'T go to a salon, they're a trap for dreads.
You have amazing hair that fits you so well! Can't wait to see how they progress
Sweet, so we'll probably see very similar progress and results!
I currently do not have a timeline (I do have one blog post that I made BEFORE I realized there was a timeline forum: http://www.dreadlockssite.com/profiles/blogs/one-month-of-letting-m... )
I am planning on making one when I do my next update; Saturday is my two month mark so I'll post a picture or two then!

Yeah man my hair looked exactly like yours before I shaved my head back in October! Are you keeping a timeline Icky? I'd love to see your progress as well.
Can't wait to see where your hair goes! We seem to have similar hair texture/curliness, I started about a month before you did and I've been seeing fast progress. I hope you do too!
I was about to reply asking you what you meant, then I took the time to google "dillon coffee run" and now your question make sense xD
There's a lot of crust in the local scene here in Rhode Island (and especially more so Boston), so overtime I just became more familiar with the genre.

Glad you bumped because it gives me the chance to ask something ive been wondering recently...whered you hear about crust punk from dillon on the coffee run?
Sorry for replying to a thread that's super old, but I just want to throw out there that the Crust Punk culture is stereotypically vegan, highly political, animal loving, dreadlock wearing, patched clothing wearing individuals.
They're pretty much the "hippies" of punk, while Crust music is pretty extreme/heavy punk, very close to metal but much closer to punk music. I've noticed that most of the musicians in Crust bands don't have dreads though, it's mostly the 'crusties' that follow the music, cultures, and ideals.
I think they're pretty great people overall and it's a great sub culture of punk
