♥ Goddess Perfume now at Dreadlockshampoo.com ♥

Dread Products

I bugged Vicki a little bit because the Goddess shampoo bar smells sooo darn good... So although at this very moment it is not on the site it will be soon & if you want it just message her... she has rollerball or spray & prices are very good!

Anyway my review is if you love the soap you'll love the perfume... is amazing!! I adore it... & it's a little bit unique too which is always good right!! ((()))

Sounds good.. for me personally my couple I'd say 4 that are still from original backcombing have not done ANYTHING... they are just like weighted things on my head.. where's the T&R have mostly all started to loop and stuff & they are lighter & feel more natural....

I was going to suggest as well maybe get your whole head braided & maybe just let those kinda loosen and dread over time if you're still up for it.. you can keep them small that way too.... Since you have the added issues with getting them wet constantly & kinda maybe rubbing with the helmet?

p.s We watched the movie 'River Wild' with Kevin Bacon & Meryl Streep last weekend & I told my little boy I had a dready friend that rafts.. ;)

((()))

Oh no.. Jen... :( Have you tried re getting it wet and pulling apart...?? Mine is starting to want to kinda fuzz into each other.. but I only get mine wet every 4th day sometimes 3rd so my problem is not so bad....

You could try wrapping some problem ones until the rest are in control?? Have you started over?? :(

wishing i had bigger dreads!

General Talk

You could maybe try to fuse one or two together with a larger bead or wrap... maybe? I have 70+ but they are so new that they may get thicker as they are thicker at the root..i'm waiting to see how thick they get after some time before I try to fuse any...

Tx

Seven months into twist and rip/back comb and my hair looks like a mop head and not at all like dreads..

Dread Maintenance

Ok, because I am following this in my routine when i can remember before I wash but wasn't clear as to why... lol Like I knew not to keep it on because it may cause itchies and drying of the scalp but wasn't sure of what it would do in the small time period....

Can I ask a question on top of this last little bit... sorry Zach I'm a noob all I can say is hang in there....

I hope this doesn't come off sounding rude it's not intended to it's a genuine question of interest but with the sea salt on for an hour or so before a wash what does it achieve before being washed out and what would be the bigger picture here ... like I see it as you put it on then wash it off so I don't understand... Thanks :)

Hey Jen!!!

Many of mine I have used those European Charm beads to separate.. you can get like 100 for around $10 they are glass...I have a lot in my hair and i don't feel them when I sleep... I think mine would be pretty much out by now some of the hair is a bit dreaded but about 6" or so all the way down is like silky smooth and straight, like I spent hours brushing it all nice and smooth :D So the beads are just keeping the sections & I'm hoping they are small enough that they wont be hindering in the process too much...

I think i'm coming up to week 4 since I started over, since last wash I feel I've lost a lot of progress some were zigging & zagging and bumping nicely but at the moment they are very... meh & doing nothing :( I am taking pictures week 5 so I hope I have something...

I hope someone can help you with your triangle.. other than the little beads I'm not sure what to suggest...

I LOVE my hoop... :D I only feel inclined to use it at around 10.30 at night though I'm hoping I will feel the urge more in the day too.... haha xx

It looks great Jen!! I think it's going to just go crazy from here & start lumping & bumping it looks like it will go quite fast!!

I know with reg.. sea salt spray just to spray it on an hour or so before wash but Vicki's you can leave on longer as it has extra ingredients... Let me know how it works for you as I never ordered the spray as it put my shipping over with the other things I ordered....

I always wrap my hair in a towel after coming out the shower & then kinda press on it & I press the ends in the towel too to help with the dripping.... I think the bad thing with towels is lint.. so if you use a similar coloured towel to your hair colour you wont have too much of an issue... but rubbing is probably not a good idea :/

Txxxxx

oh p.s I just ordered a hula hoop the other day.. for basic use it's a fitness one not a fancy one I would never beable to do some of those moves lol... x

I just started splitting some of mine too, I started with backcomb about 3.5 weeks ago & I split about 4 up last night & will do another 4 tonight... my split ones are super fluffy as I think i'm just going to leave them as doing twist & rip probably wont hold as it's soooo fluffy....
