Dreads holding energy by life events

dready interests

Thank you, I believe in the Native American ways..I personally am not true native blood but I feel very connected to their ways. My boyfriend and I attend pow wows during the summer so I will research how to perform an ancestry ceremony and see if I can't get one of the elders to help assist me in doing this. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Also, if it were me personally, i would remove the wrap for purificatiin and then rededicate it in a blessing and honoring ancestry ceremony. In our house, pets count as ancestor heritage.

Dreads holding energy by life events

dready interests

I have heard people talk about the fact that dreads hold energy. Does anyone know of some spiritual cleansing techniques? I am asking this because this week I finished twisting and ripping my hair into dreads, I was going to go the natural path however I suffer from ptsd, and some other emotional issues and at this time my Veiled Chameleon Jade was very ill and dying. I brought her to the vet and was taking care of her trying to get her better..this was a highly stressful and emotional time for me. I needed to keep my self occupied so I just went off and finished my head. I hate to think that this is the anniversary of my dreads, the day I lost Jade. I have been taking it all pretty hard, I feel like I failed her and that at some point I must have done something wrong. It was an eye opener that these creatures should not be kept captive, and although she had a nice setup it was sad that something so beautiful could not roam freely among the trees and nature. I made a wrap in my hair and attached a jade charm that I have had since I was a child, I think it was my mother's. I am them going to order a silver chameleon charm to add to it. This dread will be in memory of Jade and I shall call it Jade. Like I said though I do not want to carry around this sadness so this discussion is to find ways of spiritually cleansing dreads, and/or your stories or beliefs on this subject. Thank you ~Owl Lady

General Talk

I just finished my head twist and rip method..oldest dreads are about 3 months old..so it took me 3 months to finish my head. I did them as they started to section on their own. I have 54 dreads :) Love even numbers so thought that was cool they came to an even number when I did not intend that.

Karma Magic lock up Gel

Dread Products

Does anyone have a new unscented lock up gel that they wished they had bought Karma? Would anyone be willing to do a trade? If its fairly new. I just got Karma and I know it has to do with my brain injury but I can't stomach the strong smell... I'm so bummed out about this...I should have got unscented but loved the dragon blood shampoo so much I just assumed I'd love this. I did send her an email to see if I could trade it so I hope she will let me do that.:(

David Icke Debunking Himalayan Salt?

Dread Products

I would trust Vicki's products because she wants to use only the best stuff..and you can tell by the results when you use her products. I can feel her energy off of the products and can tell all is good. I am glad you posted this though because I was unaware of theHimalayan salt.I make my own spray using Sea salt and water and a few drops oflavender ess. oil. I have heard not to use lemon juice because it drys out the hair to much and can cause breakage.

Dying hair & Dying dreads

Dread Accessories

I am asking this question because I have been set for an appointment for months to have my hair high lighted. It was a business trade...I did photographs in trade for this..so its owed to me a 120$ value. She also has products that are earth friendly and cruelty free ..however Im in the process of dreading. Its not a huge deal if I have to start over with neglect..the front half of my head is twist and rip so I was thinking I wont have her touch those. I am just not sure about doing all this ..what are your opinions
