August 30th, 2011 - Day 1decided to finally get the courage to wear dreads.Ive been wanting to do so for a while (a year), and for many reasons. For one, cultural. i am Irish and a little Black. Before the Germanic tribes invaded Ireland, they noticed we had "hair like snakes."and of course, I want to honor the Black American history my family holds... Considering its important to never forget ancestors.I also love that Dreads look like roots. Its a really weird thing, because thats what Im honoringalso, because I love the fact that I dont have to bother with my hair... i shake and goIts important ti me that I let go of vanity as well.Im a Christian, and Im pretty sure if Jesus had my hair, he would wear dreads ahahah ... Just a thought.Yeah my blog/timeline will have a lot of random thoughts like that xDokay well, attached are two pictures. One picture of my hair brushed (the one where im wearing the silly water-floaty)&another pic of me today after one day of neglect. (taken at noon)

But I really only identify as Irish. Other than being an uber-patriotic American.

Just Irish. I think I'm like 1/16th German but I don't count it. I'm also like 1/32 black or something but idk. lol!
