i have three dreads that are doing this...are they always going to have these huge awkward lumps or will they eventually straighten out? is there anything i can do to help them smooth out?? feeling really discouraged:(

if i had really dry damaged brittle hair when i let my dreads start forming naturally, about two months ago is there anything i should be concerned about happening to them? and should i be doing something to my dreads to make and or keep them healthy? i dont ever plan on getting rid of them and want them to be healthy and last forever. i had used neutrogena anti residue soap one time, and dr bronners twic in the past two months. i do wet it every day or two or i just look crazy from sleeping lol. any advice would be great:)

im actually curious about what jobs i can have also, ive never seen anyone in my area with dreadlocks, and im a lil nervous, i just fimished phlebotomy school and am trying to get a job in a local hospital. if they wont hire me because of my hair then thats not the job i want anyway..i suppose its going to be kind of an experiment for me to see how people react in this town, but i will let you all know different reactions from different places:)
