Separating dreads

Dread Maintenance

Our hair tends to knot very easy so the separating issue was not fun for us. We are only two months in and had to tackle his congos with scissors. Since his hair was tight enough at a month when it was done, there wasn't much fallout surprisingly since it was about 1/2 an inch thick beaver tail with no holes. Already we don't need to pull them but lightly once a day. It gets better if you stick with it.

They will not stop melding

Dread Maintenance

I wake up and I have to try to separate my baby dreads. I look in the mirror and on the third day of not washing, I can't even look since my hair gets tight at the top and looks like I just woke up. Not like I have dreads underneath and almost none on top, it looks pretty bad. This journey is going to be very hard for me if I have to keep doing this. My hair pulls out of the scalp very easily, and separating them leaves my scalp red. Mr. Spivey got a little done last night with olive oil and ripping, but when I woke up it was as if it did nothing. I put it up because I can't stand the way it's turning out. If I make it through this it will be a miracle. Everyday I used to have to fight my hair to stop knotting up, I couldn't wear it down without having to slather it in Shea moisture and pull it apart. I thought this would be much better but I'm still having to fight the whole thing going together. Hopefully I don't have to separate at the roots for a year because it feels like it might make me go bald. Should I wrap all my sections as close as possible to the root to stop this from happening or should I let it all stick together and be in pain from congos? I need some dread help, badly. Anyone want to come over and work on our hair? His is impenetrable. This is insane after only a month. I can't believe its going so quickly and I kind of wish it weren't so it would be easier to keep apart.

need dedicated managers for new updated dreadlockssite google + page

General Talk

We can post content to our blog and if you need us, we can share the google plus on several social media sites every day if appointed, I disliked google plus because it wanted to use my full name and i didnt know anyone on it so I got rid of mine. I was thinking about getting it again if you start doing hangouts. I think they would be fun!! That might draw a crowd, but what do I know.

Dread beads

Dread Accessories

Yeah they're right. When you can't buy it, DIY it. Plus, I don't trust the varnish or plasticizers on some beads... You're better off making it yours and ooak.

dreadlockssite needs your help and donations for a special cause

General Talk

*nows* autocorrect messed me up. So that calculation, does it include pay pals ridiculous fees? Or are their fees for deposits from PayPal accounts low?

Wow, bows the time to donate for sure. Does google changing things have anything to do with not being able to get on here on a pc? Dreadlockssite was blocked starting a few days ago by our forticlient. It said its malicious! Unless you got hacked I don't see that being true at all. I had no clue how much seo cost til now. We can put a banner ad on our blog to help. That seo cost is ridiculous.

Ladies with bangs :)

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I've not got fully tightened dreads yet, but my bang width is at about the end of my eyebrows and I don't let the long bits framing my face dread. Straight bangs are finicky for me and require styling so I just let them go to the side recently. They grow pretty fast, so if you decide you don't like them straight you can probably keep em to the side and that would make sense for longer bangs anyway. I don't know how the cutting goes for already dreaded hair though, probably just like straight hair, starting long and cutting a bit at a time. You will look nice whatever you decide upon.

Late introduction... That's so me

Introduce Yourself

Wow. What a story. I'd have to say it's probably best that your body doesn't metabolize chemicals, I wouldn't want them in me. My mother has to get a shot every two weeks because orally, they do not affect her either. I will have to check out your blog; It sounds like you're living the life we wish we were. Soaring Eagle could not be more right about big pharma and their drug pushers, well said. Welcome! We are newbies too.

Scootering with new dreads down

Dread Maintenance

Thankyou, We wore our hair down on it tonight. Our helmets have a chinstrap that's hard to get used to so we haven't been wearing them. It was falling off and being distracting but they are very important. Once we have dreads, we will have a hard time fitting in them but I'll cross that bridge when i get there.
