The Dyeing of the Dreads! What Color Are Yours?

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I have a whole tube of pravana left in purple so I may do semi permanent on one of the blonde ends I have, but I wouldn't bleach again. Ammonia is not good.

dandruff questions. HELP!

Help! Save My Dreads

a small bottle of non raw ACV is only about 0.98(where I am anyway) so scrounge up some couch-coins and go along with your parental unit to the store and get some!

Crazy mat on back of head

Dread Maintenance

Hubby had a beaver tail visible in our first or second progress photo. Ended up cutting it apart over a few days in sections that wouldn't be obvious. Cutting sooner rather than later was a good choice since there is no Congo pain for him now and they look normal though they were cut apart. Hopefully you have someone to help you in case it needs to be done.

ADVICE for 3 week old dreads..

Help! Save My Dreads

Ours went really fast so we had to pull apart everyday. his got a beavertail in like a week, so we had to end up cutting it because we didnt start ripping early enough. Definitely separate early.

Is the grippy feeling with BCS bar normal?

Dread Maintenance

Update: used b.s. Plus bronners and an acv rinse today and was left with soft hair and no grippy feeling. Our replacement filter is in transit right now since it probably needed replacing. We do have hard water to some degree. I guess I should alternate between bucks bar and b.s. Since it seems to have worked this time. What's rot knot?

Is the grippy feeling with BCS bar normal?

Dread Maintenance

It's not softened, and the grabby feeling is after it is rinsed. It's almost like that clean feeling you get on your skin when you use a soap that takes the oils off your skin. We've also been having a bit of stank. Maybe it's time to use some B.S.

Is the grippy feeling with BCS bar normal?

Dread Maintenance

We've been using the nagchampa bucks county soap bar for at least a month now.

While in the shower, and only in the shower, the locks feel as if they've got residue on them. Is this grippy feeling normal? Does our water have something to with it? We dont know what type of water we have but we have a water doctor filter on it.

Since I get dry scalp easily using the baking soda wash and acv rinse, I started using the bar. Haven't tried to baking soda wash in a while to feel the texture difference.

for months before we started, we were using giovanni tea tree shampoo. Since it's clarifying, it wasn't hard for our hair to knot up. I doubt any is still left in there, but there is a chance.

any ideas?

I don't like the flat lumpy ones lol

Introduce Yourself

It is inevitable. In only 5 months, most of our lumps disappeared. From the top of ears up, I've got flat and loopy. The ears down is already round and blunted essentially. The Mr. has very uniform dreads. I guess it depends on how your hair texture is, and how you roll around in your sleep :P
