Introduce Yourself

Ok. I also have hard water ugh. But I wouldn't need to wash it for awhile lol. Finding the oil will have to be online, as I'm just in a small town in Kansas lol.

It's weird I don't have an issue when it's long hair. Guess it's there just don't see it. Weird tho cause scalp is dry but hair is oily.

Introduce Yourself

Hello I have been a member for awhile but have been on the site in a long time. I did have about shoulder length hair that I had started using the bs/acv wash on-hair delt cleaner then with "regular" shampoo. Since then I had to shave my head. I have been continuing to shave it about every other month. So now Im wanting to get back to dreading my hair, but now Ill be starting from a bald head. My issue now is with short hair I have really bad dandruf?? I dont have it when I have long hair. Or maybe I just dont notice it. But with a shaved head its like a film across my scalp. and when wet its clay like. I can scratch off my scalp in small chunks when its wet. Im guessing this is bad dandruf. If so can I still dread? What can I do about it? And can I dread natural from a bald head?

General Questions

I haven't had any luck with viewing the site or the app. I just keep using the old/original website but I feel I'm missing so much.

BS Ratio Differances

Introduce Yourself

Also read 1part BS to 3parts water. And another where it was 1cup BS for size of water bottle. It gets confusing. So which is right and I do I know? I'm sorry I'm just trying to figure it out lol.

BS Ratio Differances

Where do you come up with that ratio? The more I look the more I find different ratios. I find 1tbsp for 1 cup of water and 2tbsp for 1/2 cup of water.

BS Ratio Differances

So then it's about the amount of hair. Dreaded hair having more hair so more to soak it?

BS Ratio Differances

Introduce Yourself

So I've read all about BS ratios on here and other places for washing your hair. And I came across a question. I've read that for shoulder length, NON dreaded hair, to use 2 tablespoons BS to 1/2 cup water. For the same amount of dreaded hair I've read it's around 5 1/2 times the amount- 1/2 cup BS to 48oz of water. Why such a larger amount of both for dreaded hair? Is it because of having the hair tangled/matted?Just mostly curious and trying to learn.

Baking Soda Grime?

Dread Maintenance

Thanks dreadmojo. Your the first to say its due to hard water. I've asked if that was the cause so many times lol. Problem is I've boiled the water and used bottle water but it hasn't helped. So looks like I'm out of luck til I have the money for the good shampoo.

Baking Soda Grime?

Dread Maintenance

This is the 4th post I've seen in the last week dealing with this topic or extremely similar. Most responses say that your not using the right ratios. But I and a few others have replied saying we do use the correct amounts and times. And then the topic never gets disscussed again unfortunately. My hair never feels oily but I seem to have a residue or crude on my scalp always. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or it it's just my body.
