You know what else we been doing for 100.000 of years? Rape, murder, child abuse but since we did it in the past it must be okey, right?

Well maybe I am wrong and I'm always happy to Agree to Disagree, but humans have been eating meat for 100.000 years, in fact our inland indigenous population could not survive with out meat as there in not enough vegetation in the most arid parts of Australia , also we have a simple stomach the same as most other carnivorous and omnivores, strict herbivorous have a ruminant stomach that iscompletelydifferent, although I think we may be going off topic here. ;-)

You don't have to love anyone to see that pain and suffering is not right, I see animals with respect and equal living species. No matter how "bad" evolved they are they are able to feel pain. If you put this logic to humans would like to get other humans slaughtered and caged in small spaces. Would it be right to inflict pain to a retarded person just because they don't have the same "brain capacity" as us?If you don't care a shit about animals do it for the health benfefits or the enviourment.IT might come with some diffuclties at first but I promise it gets easier I went from vegeterian to vegan over the course of 2 days and I am never looking back. It's not easy to transition because you will have to deal with social dissaproval and if you're having a hard time cooking food you better pick up the art of creating recipies or just look theme up. But all you wonderfull people can do it. Go vegan, save lifes.

Some frustration on our society's norms. I need encouragement!

dreads jobs employment issues

Don't blame your hair because you can't get a job, You said you lack of work experience so my guess would be that might the reason you haven't found a job. Be persistent and the hair part is probably in your head, the employer want people that work hard. Don't just apply for work that is focused on serving costumers because there is a lot more work available.

I have also been dreading for around 5-6 months and is also looking for a job, I have some experience and have gotten both positive and negative responses. Some employers are just tired or having a bad day and might not show disgust to dreads but to all the people that is applying for work.
The reason they employ people is to make money, if they think a person will be more profitable for the company they will hire that person even if they have dreads or not. The positive responses I have received is the smiles of people that actually enjoy talking and see that people go to their companies to look for work. Don't just send mails or you be just a another number in the the deck of CVs.

If your looking for work in a makeup store they will judge your appearance because you will be trying to sell an idea of clown looking robots ( my own thoughts about makeup) if you don't look like those people why would they want you to sell their products? The same goes for cloth stores for me they see I'm not interested in that that might be the reason they reject me, also the cloth stores are harder to get since they have so many applicants .

My friend that looks good and normal have even more problem getting a job because he don't have the same amount of experience as I do,
My point is don't blame your hair because the job market is hard and that they want people that have 5 years experience to help costumers find apples and bread in a supermarket.

Dread Maintenance

So I have been getting comments that my hear smells bad, I don't know what the problem is and I would appriciate help.
Iwash my hair once a week.
Stupid as I am, I have been washing with baking powder and not baking soda.
Do you think this is the case or might it be anything else that makes my hair smell?

coping with emotions :(

Dreads in the Family

To justify marijuana and not alcohol is really stupid, I don't even like that you compare theme.
Yes one cause more health issues but they are both bad for the health, your choice how you want to spend your life thought I don't think one should compare hitting one self with a spade or hammer.
If you are smoking pot then why shouldn't see you as stoner, since that is what you are. Nothing to do with the dreadlocks but the choices you make.

Off topic:
Saying that marijuana is a gateway drug is also very stupid to say, you might as well say water is a gateway drug since we need water to even try the other drugs.

No offense, but your sister is an idiot... at least with this. There are many people who suffer from the same idioticy when it comes to such topics. I had the same issue with some friends, they destroy their hair by straightening/dying constantly, and wear tons of make up, but I'm the one who looks bad because I have natural locks and dont wear make-up? It honestly makes no sense. Just ignore her, I'm sure you dont tell her she looks bad cake facing (if she does that), or that straightening looks bad. And if you smoke weed, that's your decision as much as she is drinking. At least weed doesn't kill you as much as alcohol does.

Don't get too beat up about it, your locks look awesome and you look wonderful with them :)
