BS/ACV Recepies

Introduce Yourself

Hello !

I've been using the BS/ACV wash for about 3 weeks now ( 2 times a week ) and I just wanted to make sure My mix was good and if I'm doing everything fine.

BS -In a big bowl I add:

1/2 cup of baking soda for 10 cups of warm water

6 drops of tea three oil, 7 drops of lavender oil and 7 drops of rosemary oil

I poor the mixture over my head and let it sit for about 12 minutes then rinse everything out with cold water

After that comes

Apple Cider vinegar:

1/4 of ACV for 8 cups of warm water

7 drop of rosemary (again for th smell)

Pour it over my head, let it sit for 10 mins then rinse everything out with cold water.

Today I'll go buy Rosewood and peppermint oil.

Thanks!

Perfect dread IMO

Introduce Yourself

Thanks ! that is a long , well informed answer, I appreciate it :)

even if you do what he does for maintenance yours will never turn out "like" anyones but your own. your hair will be different, grow differently, you probably wash slightly different, sleep different. & any maintenance besides washing & separating will be damaging your dreads & won't be worth it in the long run.

try to separate when wet & separate as much as you need to to prevent the congos. the ones that you are trying to reverse maybe try a little aloe or extra acv on to condition & loosen them a little to try & pull apart. try to wiggle a finger in between & wedge them apart bit by bit. or at the last straw try & cut a few connecting hairs at a time & pull them apart (only cut as much as you absolutely would have to, try to pull more than cut).

Hey guys, those are the perfect dread in my opinion and i though maybe some of you could help me on what technique you think he used for maintenance. (Mine are starting to congo and they've congo so much that i can't undo now) wich pisses me off a bit because I only have 28 dreads. anyway, Thanks!

Messed up sectioning

Help! Save My Dreads

Just un-do and re-do the ones that bothers you.. 2 days old is no big deal. Use some conditionner if needed.

How often do you shower?

General Questions

Well the tittle says it all. I usually wash my hair 1-2 times a week, but I was wondering about how often we should wash our BODY.

dread support..?

Life Issues Facing Dreads

Bauty really is just a matter of taste. As long as YOU like your hair, this is was is important. If you feel comfortable with your look, then ignore other people's opinion about it.

What would happen if..

General Questions

Sure that is an option. I though about doing so, still the only thing that bothers me is the sectioning part, for you do not have such thing on neglect/free-form locks. Well, I'm better wait untill I'm sure before I take any action. thanks for your reply !

What would happen if..

General Questions

Hey! So i did my locks using the following methods -> Backbomb + Crochet and interlocking for maintenance. The only reason to that being that I did not have the patiente to wait months or years for my hair to form dreads on their own. Lately i've been starting to regret that choice for I do not have any proud or credit for my dreads, anyone can have dread that way and anyway, this is not what dreadlocks are about, dreadlocks are in my opinion the result of letting go of all your materialistic though, forgetting about other people's opinions and becoming one with what your body is entending for your hair to look like. So i've considered cutting of my dread and starting all over. But first i wanted to know, what would happen if from now on i let my hair do what ever they want, would it work ? Would it look more natural in the end, or since sectioning has been done, there's no way out ? thanks !
