A few questions on bs washing

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Hello all, I havnt logged in in a while but I've been on the website almost everyday learning and growing from all the great advice. I do have so,e questions that I can't remember if I came across about a baking soda wash. First off do I use cold or warm water? Secondly, do I poor it over my head and let it sit for 10 or can I submerge my hair and scalp in a bucket with the bs and keep it submerged for 10 and then rinse in out. That's about it if any one has any useful tips I'd be grateful for the advice ~ much love

Can swimming in saltwater everyday be damaging?

General Questions

Salt water is healing for you skin and scalp, I'm in the ocean almost everyday with exceptions to weather and plans. Ocean water is different in many ways from manufactured saltwater spray, ocean water consists of many different living organisms and there are so many things that can vary depending where you live but after being in the ocean you wanna make sure to wash your hair out with fresh water so the stuff washes out. If you plan on being in the ocean a lot drink lots of water to minimize dryness thought your skin and ultimately improving your overall health, not many people stay hydrated and it can lead to problems that can develop overtime but it helps keep you balanced. It does speed up the process and personally depending on your beliefs it's can heal you in many different ways.

~ Bhagavad Gita -

dready interests

So I'm interested in reading the ancient text but there are so many variations that people make into books so I'm not sure which is most original or if there is an original un-edited version I can buy. If anyone knows where I can order one I'd be thankful if you could help me out.

A strange worry

General Talk

I think as long as there are loose roots,(which free formed locks usually do have unless you do some extra twisting or rubbing yourself) hair will continue to form all sorts of crazy designs.

If you started with short hair it'll take about a year or so just to grow it out and another year to start to get baby locks but my advice to you would be watch what you eat, get out in the sun as much as you can your hair loves it I don't see why it would grow faster in the dark were not pottos and it doesn't seem healthy to always be wearing a tam your hair needs to be let down out in the open where it can catch the same experience as you, think of it like this if your parents raised you in an I closed box in the dark and only took you out to wash you would you be happy? if you live by an ocean start trying to go as often just so you have time to recharge and take a dip in the salt water it really help lock your hair as well as nurture it. When it comes down to it, listen to yourself no one else can help

Introduce Yourself

Wash every 3 days 5 might be a little to long, there are many different oils you can use to help your hairs health it all just depends which suit your hair and scalp most and what type of smells you like. I suggest you go to dreadlockshampoo.com and try their shampoos and whole foods or some place like that for your oils,, Don't crochet, back comb, (tear&rip but that's just me) or palm roll, all those little loops zig zags and bumps add character although they might not be the most suiting for the time being it'll feel and look a lot better sooner then later. To me dreads catch vibes on a lot stronger level than combed hair would and in a sense it's like it stores your memories and emotions even colors if you have the imagination. If you live near a beach, starting to go every couple days really helps lock up and it's healthy for your hair in general, keep separating when you feel is necessary, patience is probably the most important of all,, take time to grow your hair with peace and love ~~ hope this helpped doe
