Who is Rastafari (poem)

Introduce Yourself

sore a video of a guy reading this out though I would right it out so you lot can read, I really liked it! :)

You ask I who is Rastafari?

Rastafari is I, I stand Rastafari

Every I stand Rastafari

I and I and I Rastafari

Haile Selassie I

You ask I who is Rastafari?

Rastafari is black, never once turn him back

Rastafari is white

Rastafari is day, Rastafari is night

Rastafari is the mystery of all mystery

World history

Ocean, sea, river, stream and living reality

Not an elusive dream

The bird the bee the tree

Rastafari is you even me

The pond the lagoon the lake

Rastafari we could never forsake

Spring, aqueduct, fountain

Rastafari is the highest mountain

Wood, stone, iron

Rastafari is the conquering lion

Summer, autumn, winter, spring

Rastafari is all these things

Rastafari is the king of kings

You ask I who is Rastafari?

Rastafari is uncompromising

Rastafari is soul uprising

Rastafari is no disguising

Rastafari is divine love

Well

Is this surprising?

Enjoy

Blessings

Dreading whole head.

Dreading Methods

Yoo :)

Washing- you can either use Baking soda/acv, or get some shampoo from dreadlockshampoo.com,wash every 2-3 days, let your hair air dry, dont rap it in a towel or go to sleep with wet hair :)

starting them is easy dont do anything :D

also same withmaintenance other thenseparatingas they start to form you will want to pull apart any locks that are tangling together unless you want them to congo up of course :)

Patience is the key ingredient

Happy dreading

Bless

My natural dread journey!

Member Journals and Timelines

So I started my journey a month ago, at the moment im using bs/acv to wash every 2-3 days, I have got some liquid shampoo from www.dreadlockshampoo.com on the way so will be using that once it gets here, also think I might start washing every 2 days once I have that? So just gonna put up a few pictures of my hair so far.

History and Religious Significance

In a sense that would make him no longer a rasta, As rasta is way of life and not a religion, live as your ancestors lived before you, so to take a pair ofscissors and cut your hair would be going against that! hope this helps :)

No a true rasta wouldn't ever have a reason to do this. :)

Question here, wondering if anybody knows the answer. In Rastafarian beliefs, is there at all a time where it would be okay to cut off your locks? For instance, something like having a child? Or anything I suppose that so life changing, you cut em off and start your journey all over again? Just wondering. Thanks in advance.
