Lockin up liquid safe for mature dreads?

Dread Products

Hello. I was just wondering if the Lockin Up shampoo is safe for well somewhat mature dreads? I've had my dreads for going on 1 year and 10 months now but they have only dreaded up halfway from my head to about halfway down the hairs. My hair is like normal on the ends :( i thin its due to tying it back at work. But I know the liquid is good for locking up and starter dreads. So is it safe to use on my half dreaded head? haha

Keepind dreads dry in pool

General Questions

I've had my dreads for over a year and a half now. I live in Texas so its always hot here and my daughter loves to go swimming alot. And I like to swim with her. But I get paranoid about my hair in the pool water. I'm not really worried about them getting wet so much as I am about the chlorine damaging them. My dreads dry pretty fast but it seems like the chlorine is unravelling my dreads quite a bit. So I was wondering if anyone had any idea on products or bags or something that I can put on my head when swimming haha. I've tried swim caps but they dont even fit on my head over my hair,..

Silly bar soap question

Dread Products

Just rub the bar on you head. Lather your hands and scrub scalp. that's what I do.

Kirks Soap

General Questions

So I was at the store today and came across Kirks Castile soap. Apparently according to thedescription you can wash your hair with it and it works in hard water. Anyone else use this product. I want to try dr bronners soap but I hear nothing but bad things for hard water.

Best bar soap

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I have slightly hard water but I'm still able to do a BS wash without trouble. I just got my nag champa bar yesterday and washed for the first time today and I love it! Better than the liquid I think. Both are good tho.

Shampoo bars...

General Questions

I like the liquid and all. But I prefer a good BS/ACV wash over it.my hair is def not hard to dread. almost at 3 months here and already have some half locked. Maybe If I alternate between the BS and bars I'd be fine. And maybe to a sea salt spray on a bar wash day
