I'm Confused?

Introduce Yourself

no i didn't do any acv because my hair is naturally pretty oily on its own, and we do have pretty bad hard water where we live. :( well i've decided that the next time i do this i'm going to go completely natural instead of twist and rip because i noticed that even though i thought my ends weren't dreaded they actually were and they had some curl too them as well! so my theory is if i do all natural my dreads may actually come out with a bit of a curl in them! i'm even more excited to start them now :)

I'm Confused?

Introduce Yourself

Today was a very sad and long day for me. After having my dreads for a full month I was forced to comb them out because of a lead role that I got in the play Proof. So in the process of taking out my dreads i noticed that my hair was ungodly oily and dirty. The comb i was using had gunk built up in the teeth and it was rather gross. So now i'm wondering what went wrong while i was washing them any suggestions?

I used the baking soda solution with a prerinse of sea salt water.

NEW SOAP!?

Dread Maintenance

well i tried it last night and it works pretty well it has some lather to it but its relatively easy to rinse out and my hair feels just as clean as it did with the baking soda... i still used my sea salt spray before and i think its about the same result. I think my dreads actually feel a bit softer always a plus :)

NEW SOAP!?

Dread Maintenance

i'll give it a test run i guess and let you guys know what i think about it. this company has quite a few soaps like this from india and all the proceeds go to third world countries in need. so its at least worth it :)

Love your dreads and they will love you back!

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

I love this its really inspiring. I've always been so nit picky with my hair. making sure that each hair is perfectly placed but more lately i've just felt like i need to let my hair down so although i was going to do my dreads naturally i wasn't that patient lol so i dreaded my hair yesterday afternoon and i'm already in love and i can't wait to see them progress and do their "thang" :) thanks for your inspiring forum.
