No, my wads of hair is close to the scalp it is knotted up real good but they are like big fuzz balls. Last nite I ripped them apart again and so far they have stayed. But I have lots of patience and I will get there. Your dreads really inspire me. Blessed Be and thank you

aw thank you so very much! i love the compliments but i also dont want anyone to think that thats how their dreads should look and be. your dreads will be perfect to you as that is how nature intended...im not sure i follow you when you say wads of hair though. are you talking about at the tips? i get wads of hair at the tips from hair thats fallen out then slid down the dread and locked up getting trapped. is that what you mean?

Yes I tear them apart but they seem to find each other again. Cast away , your hair seemed to have dreaded so perfect! I never saw any wads of hair on your head they seem to have dreaded so pretty.. And SE well your dreads are legend.. I will have to take some pics.

Hey guys Im fairly alarmed here, my hair has wads of matted knots in it. Ive never seen this in pics of other peoples dreaded hair. I wash it every other day with dls liquid shampoo and it is knotting up, but in wads instead of rope looking. Is this normal? I have started this journey 22 days ago.

dreadlocks changing more than your hair

I told my mother that I was going to let my hair dead and she really didnt knowwhat they were,so I showed her some pics and explained that it would take a while and that my hair would be messy for a while.My precious 83 year old mother just smiled and said if that is what you want do it. How cool was that ? She actually liked the pics that I showed her.
