I get that you want locks for style. That's not a bad reason to want them. They look cool, hands down.
But if you want to keep them for life, why wouldn't you want them to be healthy?
If you wash something covered in wax, like your hair, your don't actually clean your hair. The wax repels the water. Hydrocarbons are long chains of carbon. They repel water. So normal soap and water do not wash it out. Only detergents can remove hydrocarbons. Dawn dish soap, and the wax remover from dreadlockshampoo.com are the best. It's the molecular design of them that let the 2 mix and react together. Normal soap is not structured the same as a detergent.
If you've had them with wax this long, you've been lucky. They won't last as long as you'd like. Or they will but you'll have to coat them in oils and other products to cover up the smell of hair that will begin to rot. It's not pleasant.
Wax just prevents locking, that's all. but if you want them for the look, and don't want to keep them forever, wax will make it much easier to take them out. Since no knots are forming, combing will be a breaze
thats whats trapped in your dread but these were waxed only 4 times in 1st month\then washed for 4 years after 4 years of washing and even boiling to try getting the wax out this is whats left..and he only used 1/4 the ammount a tiny tiny bit not "ample or generouse" ammounts
nice huh?
now for the kicjer
thes4e dreads after 4 years never really dreaded the wax only glued em together to look like they dreded they were split apart with ease
but then 1 palm roll and the 4 year old wax glued em right back together
thats the same dread after being split in 1/2 then 1 palm riloll and it looks like a perfect dread again]\\
wax is a scam
it stops dreading while only creating the illusion of dreading
and then causes them to rot

it can survive 10 years of washing if u use it only 1 time..proven and rhats washing the hair 4 times more often then your washing
its wax
how can wax wash oy]\ut?
wax is used to seal things that hold water
its used as a barier between water and surfboards etc
its sdesigned not to wash out
3 years ago i made a wax free guarantee anyone who removed wax and b stiol thought wax was good id buy them wax..i took the risk of possibly havu=ing ti buy tens of thousands of jars of wax..but never had to buy 1 for good reason nobody ever wanted to put that nasty crap in their hair again after experiencing wax free dreads

nobody is offended we are just trying yto help
its anti wax for good reason wax is pure evil in dreads .. nobodies hair is that di=ferent that makes wax good
wax is waterproof doesnt wash out and causes dreads to rot
hows that good ? hows that taking good care of your hair?\you didnt know any better its understandable 1/2 the ppl here had shaved due to wax
many spent a year or so trying to remove wax
its a scam
a scams no good without visctims
but you can save your hair if you remove the wax
only 1 percent of waxed dreads ;ast 5 years
its the number 1 cause f dreads being cut
and it makes them heavy th8nk about what u said u use ample wax..thats alot that never washes out ..it adds ounces..maybe even pounds to your hair
they fget stiff and dont flow..or move
they get hard ..dreads should be soft..soft as hair
