Welcome to the community Emily and to the beginning of your wonderful journey to grow dreadlocks...There is a group on here with over 80 members from the UK: http://www.dreadlockssite.com/group/ukdreadlocks

I also did the T&R method and posted some great tips for others beginning their journey. : (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/just-starting-out-what-to-expect/a> ...I contacted the head office of LUSH directly about their bars and dreads, here is their reply: http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/don-t-use-lush-products-on-dreads

Have a fantastic journey Emily, it sure is a great ride....peace

Welcome to the community Mr. Top Hat. If you are not African American, or have the hair texture, the you should not be using the products you are, they would be too conditioning.

Hope you have the patience for complete your journey this time around. It will give you healthy dreads for life....peace

Welcome. How long have you waited when you tried to start before? It takes, on average, 1-2 years for mature locks to form. There are a number of members here, myself included, who didn't see any progress for nearly a full year.

When people say it takes time and patience, they aren't lying. Locks don't grow in a matter of weeks or months.
