twisted up. a lot of people say that twisting to get roots tighter and maintain/improve sectioning and loose hairs will only work if your hair is textured. i think maybe they aren't twisting the right way for their hair.
i twisted each section into it's own bun. just wrapped & wrapped until it would stay in a little twisty ball.
it definitely pulled in a lot of loose hairs at the root, and was a great way to clearly organize my sectioning. i have really thick hair and i often find it difficult to work on the back of my head. by twisting them all up i could access each lock much better.
the general agreement of this site's users seems to be twisting = ripping your hair out at the roots. I think that's a dramatic interpretation.

Totally agree with you.
I don't have as many locks as you do, so it isn't quite as much work for me...but, I've found that twisting each lock and pulling them back in a ponytail (from time to time, after I wash) significantly helps tighten the roots and tie in loose hairs.
The only issue I've run into with this method is twisting them too much, to the point that they are so tight that my scalp gets a little sore...but the pain usually dwindles away after a day or so
Anyway, keep up the good work! Looking good!
Hey! I tried it! I posted a pic...tell me what you think! :D
Awesome! Thanks, I'll let you know how it turns out!
just wrapped and wrapped and wrapped! my ends are loose/non-blunted, so it gradually thinned out and just wrapped over itself enough times to keep it secure.
Sounds like mine...I have 72. did you just wrap them into themselves, or did you do something to secure them?
It took me over 2 hours. I didn't expect it to take so long! I have about 75 locks of decent size and my hair is pretty thick, so perhaps that's why it required so much effort.Once it was done it felt really stable. I think it could easily be left in for an entire day or overnight.I think on the right person it could be turned into a really gorgeous up-do!
I think this is a gorgeous hair style! I know that wasn't ur intention, but still....I think I wanna try it! How long did it take you?
