welcome but crochet ..even once is the biggest mistake you can make .. throw that hook in the trash it is going to tqake years to recover from the crochet you did already

what is it you are washing with

btw the crochet recovery process is rough all the hairs you broke will pop out all over  making you want to crochet and break more

that messy stage will heal much faster then the stiffness the crochet caused wich can take several years to recover from just 1  use of the hook

break the hook, melt it down  curse the day you ever heard of the hook  depending on your beliefs  sprinle holy water on it  smudge it and your dreads with sage and sweeetgrass  whatever  cerimonial  practice it takes to keep ypu from ever using the evil hooks again

forgive yourself though you didnt know better

your dreads will forgive you but it will take them a long time

But yeah, feel free to post whatever you have in mind. This is a great helping community specially @soaring-eagle

Btw. doing maintenance specially crochet might be bad for your hair. You don't need it. You already have a beautilful dreadies.

Would love to see you post pictures of you previously and as we go through this journey.

Happy Dreading!
