Welcome. How are you thinking about starting? I saw your post about getting a perm. That would be a huge mistake. You don't need curly hair to lock. Plus perms do incredible amounts of damage. It essentially fries your hair, making it brittle and weak. Healthy, long lasting locks need healthy hair to start with.
Check out the dreaducation page first. Then look through the timeline forums to see what the first few weeks/months will look like. On average it takes about 1-2 years for mature locks to fully form
